Let's just cut to the chase here. The loss against the Falcons is very simple.
First of all Weeden is who he is. He lead the offense to 28 points. If he is going to do that in a game, then its enough for a WIN. Even if we score all those points in the 1st quarter, Weeden is doing his job if we score 28 points.
Second, we aren't going to win any games this year where we give up 39 points. It won't happen. So offense players missing aside, 28 points is enough to win, 39 points will always give us a loss.
Third, TURNOVERS. If we are going to generate ZERO turnovers we are going to lose without Romo. We must create turnovers and win the turnover battle. If we lose the turnover battle, we will lose without Romo. Maybe we win if we break even in this department, but we need to win this battle.
This loss is on the defense. They created no turnovers and they allowed 39 points with a 70% 3rd down conversion rate. That's a loss every time.
On offense we are who we are. We are good enough to score 28 points a game and give us a chance to win. But we have to execute on both sides of the ball and win the turnover battle.
