Just a question for the board would you rather
win a Super Bowl once during a span of ten years but not make it to the playoffs 9/10 times
or
Make it to the playoffs 10/10 times and lose championship games and superbowls and not win it once in ten years.

Just curious.

Tough question.

Guess Id have to say the SB.

But that would be a rough 9 year strectch without a postseason.

Well, first of all that is a HIGHLY improbable scenerio, in fact I'm pretty sure its never happened.

I'd have to go with the 10 appearences in 10 years though

Superbowls sure are sweet.

Just ask the Eagles or the Bills (of the '90s) how great it is to get to the promised land so often and come up short. I'm sure they would trade in all of those trips to know just once how it feels to win.

Superbow, if you don't accomplish your goal which is to win the superbowl, in 10/10 years it would be a complete failure. Not making it the next 9/10 years is doesn't matter because we now would have the 6th lombardi. They don't give out lombardis for making the playoffs 10 years straight.

I lived through years and years of making the playoffs and then crashing...mid 60's through early 70's....I'll take the SB

I remember leading up to the SB where we were about to make history with 3 out 4 I was thinking.. just gimme this one and I'll be able to milk this for a lonnnng time. Well I guess thats exactly what happened.

Maybe I'm not as mad about things as some other people because my fav teams in MLB and the NBA have gone about 25 and 35 years respectively without winning anything.

Plus in hindsight I am still ticked that we didnt get more things done from 96-99, regardless of coaching when by in large we still had Troy and Emmitt and Irvin and Deion..if not the likes of Haley and Novacek. Instead basically played .500 ball.

Almost doesnt make .500 these last few years seem so bad with all the poor drafting over the years and dart board free agency pick up's.

Guess you could pencil me in for a SB since when any season is over, if you didnt win it all you bout might as well have went 2-14 to have a better shot at blue chip players.

That's because your not old enough to remember losing Super Bowls. When you lose a Super Bowl it's feels like you lost every game of the season 100-0.

Simple question.

Every team in every sport is judged by one thing......the number of championships it has.

In Dallas, we only want the hardware. It's all about the trophies and rings.

I'll take making the playoffs every year....I'm looking for excellence and competitiveness. 9 years with no playoffs is not what the Cowboys are all about.

A 1 year wonder or lucky team that can't even manage to make the playoffs for 9 years in a row is not a championship team or anything for me to be proud of. For most of us, being a great team and failing to win the SB for years under Landry is part of what made us loyal to a team that never quit and finally found its way to win it all....

I'm proud of winning 5 SBs, but I'm equally proud to have made the playoffs 17 consequitive years, something no other team could do, and I remember being hurt the first year that streak was broken as much as when we lost SB V to Baltimore.
