1960s...67-65-6, .508 winning %. 1-4 in the post season.

1970's...105-39, .729 winning %. 14-7 in the post season.

1980's...79-73, .520 winning %. 5-5 in the post season.

1990's...101-59, .631 winning %. 12-5 in the post season.

2000's to today...66-68, .493 winning %. 0-3 in the post season.

There are 10 regular season games left in this season. We need to finish at least 11-5 on the season to be above .500 for the decade of the 2000's. We have never been below .500 for a decade. Not even the 1960's where we began with 5 straight losing seasons.

I'd like to see some post season wins too. Have to post that for those who will inevitably point it out.

This decade (Century) has sucked. Thank goodness an odd numbered decade is coming.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll explain it in case someone else was confused.

60's, 80's, and 2000's are even numbered decades.

79's, 90's, and 2010's will be odd numbered decades.

It really isn't relevant, but it gives me hope.

If Dallas goes 11-5 and wins at least one game in the playoffs that would be awsome.

No worries, we will win a playoff game for sure in the next decade!

I'm not usually a whiner, but you can't deny that the post-Jimmy Johnson era has been the worst in franchise history.

Amazing.

You figured that out all by yourself. ;)

Agreed.

I don't think that saying the extreme obvious is considering "whining" by any means. It'll just piss off some koolaid drinkers...but what else is new.

You're not a Stepford housewife, dude. I'd call out the obvious.

In a way, that's a good thing about Commanders fans. They see a clear failure from management, and they're letting them know. I wish Dallas fans called out the GM more.

1994 we went to the playoffs and lost in the NFC Championship to the 49ers in an amazing game.

There are very few similarities between the Commanders and the Cowboys and how their organizations are run.

Oustanding job by Jerral W. Jones. Teams will be lining up to hire him if he ever fires himself.

Here is the hang over from the Super Bowl win versus the Steelers with Switzer at the helm. Led Jerry to believe he was a football guy, and that he was correct in his premise that he could win the Super Bowl with any of 500 coaches. Team has been paying for it ever since.

Food for thought. People talk about Bidwell, Adams, Snyder and Davis as being jokers (which they are). Sad thing is their teams have been almost as successful or more successful then Dallas has been this decade.

JJ - 66 wins
Adams - 83 wins
Snyder - 68 wins
Davis - 59 wins
Bidwell - 56 wins

Please name me one team that has never been in a decade long slump.

It happens to every dynasty, it happened to the packers, steelers, 49ers, Cowboys, etc. It will happen to the Patriots and beyond.

Every franchise goes through this, how are the Bills and Niners doing this decade. The numbers that Hostile posted are relevant because I guarrantee you every team has had those bad years and will have them in the furture.

For all the grief Jerry takes about not winning a playoff game this decade the Cowboys were one botched snap and an uncomplete route from winning one.

What I am hoping is that the Cowboys make it to the NFC Championship game. So we can say that the Cowboys franchise has been in at least one Conference hampionship Game each decade of their existance.

Winning Percentages mean nothing in the NFL....

I would take a SB one year and 9 losing seasons in a decade....

The Eagles have had a great run.....great winning percentage.....and their trophy case is still empty......what have they really accomplished thats any better then the Cowboys in the last decade?

Watching the Cowboys in the 70's.........and all those playoffs.......losing hurt just as much as this past decade......

Now with the cap and FA.....making the playoffs and not winning the SB guarantees nothing for the next year......

JMHO :)

I just dont think it is a coincidence that Dallas' decade long slump started the day Jimmy left and Jerry took over full control of everything. It really isnt a one decade slump either, this team has been in decline for about 14 years now, starting the day Barry Switzer walked through the door.
