This was unsportsmanlike like conduct and he should have been warned about ejection for it but was not.

And then they want to penalize Zeke for his celebration on the ensuing kickoff.

Is this league nuts or what ?

They withdrew fining Zeke which is correct but Winston's move was totally disrespectful to the team.

You do not come up behind somebody and blindsided them with your helmet.

Opinions?

Winston was correctly penalized and it actually turned out to be a huge penalty because it slowed their momentum and kept them out of the end zone. I guess he should have warned, but comparing it to Zeke's penalty makes no sense, really and apples to oranges comparison and Zeke should have been flagged...

I don't understand why he wasn't thrown out of the game for that considering Irving was tossed in the Cleveland game for a little rassling.

Irving was on top of Erving, so I think it was a bit more than you are making it seem. Had a fight broke out, he may have been ejected, but you can't eject a player for what Winston did if that's all that came from it.

The warning comes with the flag, whether the ref announced it over the microphone or not. That's the rule.

Catch one of those throws when hes all mad at, who knows who.

He can whistle a football. Looked like Drew Bledsoe out there, except he has legs.

It was a head butt, just like it's a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when one leads with your head to hit another player....you don't get tossed for that.......Irving and the Cleveland lineman(center) got into a fight on the field, that's why they were both tossed, it's pretty clear....

Winston is a a classless punk. He was at FSU, and he is now.
Yep.

He's a little like RG3 in some respects.

Which became his undoing in Washington with his play, injuries and turmoil.

This kid needs maturity.

You just don't do that stuff.

I was shocked to see that on national TV.

So where does he get head butting from? Practice?

Nice example for young players?

And the announcers said little about, too.

They don't want to call out Winston on it..

And they would rather obsess about a red flag challenge endlessly than illegal play like that.

I hate the media..

So tired of them picking and choosing what to report on.

if he threw a punch he would be ejected right? I feel a headbutt or kick is the same thing as a punch. All three should be ejections.

Probably because given the amount of brain cells between Winston's ears, it was probably more like getting hit by a stray balloon.

Goodell wants to be a king, and there is no form of checks and balances.

He does whatever he pleases, and the result is a poorly organized and consistent league. They just make it up as they go along.

He did receive an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Aren't you automatically ejected if you receive two in a game?
Yes..Understood.

But other players get a lecture from the refs about a second penalty and ejection that didn't happen here.

Thought that was a complete concept that should have been underlined by the refs in along the call.

But no.

It was so flagrant.

Because he was the QB the refs gave him a break. Any other player and he would have been ejected. Isn't a head butt intent to injure?

Oh I agree.

As much as I am hopeful of our chances to get to a SB..

I am less hopeful that the refs will not blow a huge call that goes against us costing us a loss.

Like GB in 2014 with Dez's non-call.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Guys like Dez are probably not a ref favorite like a Julio Jones or others probably are.

Dez constantly complains about holding and interference and things.

Just a guess on my part.

Dez doesn't get the benefit of the doubt with the refs.

Yep he has talent but he's a turd and he turns the ball over WAY too much. He did in college too but no one talked about it because his team was so loaded they could overcome it. I don't see him even really changing in that regard either. Crab legs Winsturnover
