Irvin is gonna have his day tomorrow

While I'm a balanced attack kind of guy, you don't need to run as much in the NFL these days. It's not the way I'd go but you can win mostly passing the ball.

Philly's problems are deeper than that. Their DL is too small and there is only one player maker on it and he's not consistent with pressure. We are just a nightmare matchup for them. They lost their center and their OL is not good enough to play smash mouth football anyway. We got pressure with our front five. While we're so good that's not damning it still says something about their OL. They have problems in the secondary and at LB. They live and die by the big play. They have their share of problems and if Reid and all weren't such good coaches they'd look more like the Giants did this year.

They were exposed last night. They aren't who many people thought they were.

McChunky was under pressure the entire game. f we apply that type of pressure no QB will have success against us. Do you think Rivers or Brees should be traded too? They had the same problem.

Either we didn't put the same pressure on Rivers or the guy handled it awfully well. He had a very effective day against us.

I would rank McNabb between 8 and 15 in the NFL. He's good but he ain't close to as good as Rivers or Romo.

What true playmaking stars can you point to among their front seven?

And their o-line got lost key players to injury.

They wil be back though, you know.

You can't win games running the ball 10 times either.

I don't know cuz there are a few out there who think all teams should just pass the ball :

they were dominating everyone else with that same offensive line. Injuries is an excuse because every team has to deal with them just like bad calls. You can complain some but overall it is you win some you lose some.

What did they say Eagles AVERAGE score was for this season -> 29 points! their average with the Cowboys is 9 points in three games this year. Simply amazing.

They're a good team who has never been able to become great due to inherent flaws in their philosophy and personnel. There is an ongoing debate in Philadelphia, is it enough to be competitive year in and year out, or is winning the Superbowl the end goal?

If the latter, they do indeed need to change things. If being competitive is good enough, status quo is OK.

This Eagles' team, the way it is built, will never win a championship.

their problem has been the same every year, and that is that they are too one dimensional. They do not run the ball very often and while that may beat the Detroit Lions of the NFL but not going to get you very far against teams that are destined for superbowl. Until they change that philosophy, they will always be disappointed.

They beat one team with a winning record. They were frauds that got their fraud *** kicked two weeks in a row.

Absolutely. The press made them into a top team. Their play wasn't deserving. My God, they lost to Oakland.

The Eagles didn't look that good against the niners. And it was always overlooked that they were beating losing teams

Jimmy,

That one team was an Atlanta team without their starting QB, RB, and a couple of players on defense.

Some winning team that was.

Still fun to listen to right now......complaining about Mcflabb 'dancing' before the game...Lack of focus...wanted to see same type of commitment as Rogers had in the Pack game yesterday.(well,he lost ,too!)

You know, you might be able to get away with being a majorly pass oriented team.

But you are never going to win anything if the QB you are using in that system has a sub 60% completion rate for his career.

That's why they lose, and that's why the longer McNabb and Reid are together there the better off we are.

60% completion rate is the threshold for a decent QB. That threshold is higher for a QB in the West Coast Offense, which is based on short, high percentage passes. If you're below 60% in the WCO, that means you truly suck.

I think the egals shouldn't change a thing for next season. I think they are ready. and have the winning ways in their head.

yes, but sometimes one dimension means defense, good ones, can zero in on your intended targets and take you out of your game.

I do have respect for McNabb and do think he has developed into a good QB, but defenses catch up to what you are doing if that is all you do.

See New England, teams have caught on. Indy will be next. You can be one dimensional for a little bit, but sooner or later the wheels will fall off and you have nothing else to carry you.

I see what you did there and I agree. ;)
