Not that there is a guarantee these guys hit but I love this draft. What I love the most is patience at the position you are in and taking best player vs reach. Rd 2 could have easily been a WR reach and we took an G that dropped but was rated high. Still a need but not a reach. Then we get a WR in the 3rd that fits. Wouldn’t happen if we reached in 2nd. Even going back 15-20 years we tried to get too tricky in the 2nd and 3rd snd went for potential home runs. The last few years have been better with the Oline type guys but still had a couple of reaches. Just enjoying the last two days.

If anybody reads this in history it was after Rds 1-3. Like complete draft but mostly top 3. Just an addendum ..and I suck at starting threads

We dont even know what this draft is for like 6 months. None of these players are sure thing, Zeke was a sure thing, none of these guys are

I agree. Just think, this team has only been able to draft 8 All Pro players and an offensive rookie of the year this decade.

They have to do better!

If you look at the draft, it's easy to see which teams have figured this out and which ones haven't.

The Cowboys are stacking some pretty good drafts recently and it will translate to the field again this year as it did just two years ago.

My favorite pick is Connor Williams from UT.........not just because I am a UT alumni, but because it really bolsters the offensive line. Lets be honest, they got caught with their pants down last year with the oline, especially the Atlanta game. I think that game kinda focused their thinking this year on what needed to be done.

If the oline returns to form and Zeke doesn't slap any more of his girls around, then this offensive is going to be hard to stop. That helps the defense also along with LVE. I was worried about his neck because of the reports that he was medically red flagged, but I have done some research and only 2 teams flagged him for injury risk and 30 teams cleared him. So I am not worried anymore, I think he will be fine.

Like returning to 2016 form. Impose their will on offense. Force the other team into knowing if they fall behind it's over.

Dak friendly and a shift from a single #1 receiver scheme to a fully integrated and functional receiver group.

Six players added during the draft, on offense...and two linemen via free agency.

The offensive line is again dominant and with fully functional depth. Left guard and right tackle has to still be sorted out, but it is now Dak friendly.

The new receivers are more disciplined and able to separate down field. Speed and good reception has been added.

There is a functional running game that can be expanded by play action, screens, and backs out of the backfield.

Teams can't fall back upon former tendencies and start to attack just that, now...Dak friendly.

Good analysis.

It was a solid to good draft. But you could make a case they could've been more aggressive at times.

They could've traded a 3rd to move up and get Tremaine Edmunds. Still drafter Connor Williams. Then trade up in the 4th to get DeSean Hamilton.

Nothing to complain about though.

I didn't love this draft. Then they abandon ship on Switzer who was a fairly high pick. I don't get it. I don't think many of the guys we drafted make the roster really. We are naked at TE and WR still. 'C' draft at best.

I wouldn't mind if LVE didn't have the neck issues. But sure.
There are no neck issues. He had stingers as a freshman. That story was planted to get him to fall down the board.

He was fine at the combine and wasn’t even asked for a medical follow up.

It takes a lot longer than 6 months to judge a draft.

Let me guess...you’ve already wrote Taco odd?

The 4th round pick is likely the starter at TE. David Shaw said best all around TE they’ve had in recent years.

You can’t really believe there’s not enough bodies at WR. There’s 10 and they said going in there wasn’t a Dez type talent to be found.

Here’s the role for all of them. I didn’t think they’d find a way to get so many that actually could make the team.

LVE - starting LB
Williams - starting LG
Gallup - Top 4 WR
Armstrong - Backup RE - goodbye Tapper
Schultz - Starting TE
White - Battles it out with Rush for backup QB
Convington - Most likely to be cut. Will have to be special teams ace -
Wilson - Will be on practice squad and not have to worry about another team taking him. Will be on roster next year with Williams/Beasely gone
Scarborough - Short yardage RB

Austin - KR/PR
Ward - Insurance for Irving.
