The last 29 years have been lost seasons. What is the difference between being 5-12 or 12-5 if the team never advances though the playoffs? Exactly, nothing. The goal of every team is to win the Superbowl which unfortunately will be something this team will never do again based on the current ownership.
Agreed at least prior to 1996 we had hope for an effort to win titles, we all no know Jerry is a sham and if we win a championship that is simply gravy on top of his bottom line.
The 29 years is a fan cop out.

As the team was taken apart by FA and the triplets leaving. Did anyone honestly believe there was not going to be some lean years as they needed to replace players?
Granted Jerry was delusional and his ST's draft crap. But they would have had lean years regardless. So as Parcels came in it took 3 years to get to a point to be competitive. So it really has been since, around 2005 to 2006 when they fielded better teams. 2007 before before anyone could truly say they had a chance. Then it was a long one.

Then enter Garrett, Jerry's hand picked puppet. Those were the wasted years. He should have been fired after the 3 win and in 8-8 years. And could not do it.

Still way too long, but the 29 years is just a number since the last SB appearance. But if that is what fans want to whine about, so be it.

" Here’s where they should be looking:
  • The Front Office
  • The Quarterback
  • Running Back
  • Wide Receiver
  • Tight End
  • Offensive Line
  • Defensive Line
  • Linebackers
  • Defensive Backs
  • Kickers
  • Will This Happen? "

There's no point if you need more you can go away we don't need you as a fan base because this is one of the most ridiculous perspectives and narratives I've ever seen in sports literally the fan base for the other 32 teams how many of those are regularly getting to the Super bowl or deep playoff runs literally since 1989 there's only three teams that have three or more Super Bowls and that would be the Dallas Cowboys Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots everyone else it's spotty at best there have been far worse droughts literally it took 56 years for the Kansas City Chiefs to get back good again to get back to the winning a Super Bowl there are teams out there with no Super Bowls there are some with just one we're waiting at number six your perspective means nothing it's absolutely useless if that's all you expect is you have to have your team live up to your demand that they better have deep playoff runs or you won't watch and you don't see the difference between 5:00 and 12:00 and 12:00 and 5:00 it's called winning games being relative IE we won two division championships along with 36 games and five times in the last eight years we've been to the playoffs Prescott himself has never had a losing season when he's been healthy..

You're damn short that makes a difference I'd rather be watching that where my team has his chance every year where other teams don't even get that close hell the Cleveland Browns haven't even won division, and you act like winning a division is a small thing that's because you're a small thinking person!!!!

I'm sorry but if that's what you think that there needs to be things attached to your fandom that you've created some weird rules like it's a contract or you won't follow which makes no sense because all those losing teams out there they fill their stadiums they also buy gear they also support their team no matter what without conditions attached to it...

that's not what real fans do, that's a bandwagon fan you only want to be around for the good times there's a huge difference the gap is insane between 5-12 and 12 being on prime time being called contenders whether it's ending badly I don't care it matters a lot... That's the difference between winning and losing the records it speaks for themselves it is very difficult to win 36 games two division titles and go to the playoffs three straight years but overall we've been a top 6 the last decade in the regular season as far as winning goes that's big because it goes to show you if you don't know the difference of how it would feel if you were actually real losers who didn't even have a chance at that to play in the playoffs to feel what it's like to win a division..

The first thing you have to do as a team is be good enough in the regular season to get into the playoffs and that's a hard task on its own for a lot of teams but to be second seed last year have a home game yes it was very disappointing but that is the difference between 5-12 and 12-5 that the season was not a waste it was not a lost season literally that's not what sports are about..

or why would the Texas Rangers have not just up and move why do they have empty stadiums won their first championship since 1970 it's a matter of fact with this weird conditions you put on the three other professional sports teams in our area The Mavericks Rangers and stars only have 3 total championships in their entire damn existence that's three Jerry has three of his own the Cowboys have 5!!!
so yeah be patient, I realize it's frustrating but you make no sense this is the worst narrative on the Internet I know you're not the only one it's dumb it's a dumb narrative these expectations and conditions are not what real fans do you just have to ride out the bad times but there are worse things that can happen than what we've been experiencing here the last decade fireworks this whole 29 year nonsense we're not even the longest drought 56 years that was Kansas City jump to win another championship there are some that never have won no the Cincinnati Bengals had 31 years between their losses yeah they're Super Bowl appearances that's longer than our drought from our last win..
Didn't read all your rambling gotta be at work by 8am tomorrow so just a couple of sentences but, you or "we" don't get to pick the fan base so don't think anyone is going to leave just because you "we" think you or "we" are a better fan. Also who cares about the Bengal's, are you seriously going to attempt to align their fan passions and expectations with those of the Cowboys fans. Like I said didn't read the entire unloading you left behind, but man I hope you feel better! ;)

Not even Jerry is stupid enough to blow up a 12-5 team. It's easy to say now, hindsight is always 20/20
I said it before the draft this team would be considerably worse and not make the playoffs. I wanted to not resign dak and trade Micah + Lamb for picks. All in was last year, we need a complete rebuild.

I don't even know why you're here if it doesn't matter why are you even discussing the Dallas Cowboys you think I'm upset because you didn't read it but yet you took the time to respond to me like you say you don't care about the Cowboys because they're not relative to you because they haven't won in 29 years and here you are dude you're a hypocrite you're straight up troll you literally say you don't care anymore and yet you spend your time here you say you don't have the time but then you respond anyway that's odd don't you think the irony thick hypocrisy deep we get that you are one of those terrible fans and you damn right we think you are what we think you are a bandwagon fan or outwardly you're protesting inwardly you still watch the games you do everything the same as you always did but you're trying to get on a little pitchfork a torch crowd it's OK don't read this either but I bet you did you're reading it or you wouldn't even have an account here I mean it's 29 years bothers you why are you still discussing the Cowboys I'm not talking about the Bengals I'm talking about them as a way to judge the Cowboys but there are 20 other teams that haven't even done on a regular basis with the Cowboys have done the last decade being top 6IN win percentage yes it matters it matters a lot you asked and I answered and now you can't even read but I get it you're one of "those fans" and I'm one of those fans coming in here and checking you cant handle it.

I hope you feel better because you're a little 29 year narrative is the most wore out ridiculous redundant and makes no sense to keep saying it and yet keep coming back and talking about the Dallas Cowboys if you don't as if you don't care and it doesn't matter anymore but here you are here you are talking about the Dallas Cowboys..

Nothing changes while Jerry is alive
they said that about al Davis and the Raiders have not looked to me I haven't paid much attention but they sure don't seem relative me post al Davis it's gonna be the same here so you knowing this and knowing the Jones family will probably keep this going after he's gone why are you here why are you bothered why I mean youneed to join the Pitchfork and torch crowd with these narratives saying you're upset for 29 years and yet here you are talking Cowboys if you know it's not gonna change and you don't like it now why stay why continue to talk or is it just you like to troll?/

so this is your protest you you come here for therapy and protesting even though it means nothing and yet you're talking Cowboys means Jerry is still rent free in your head he's living there for free if not delete your account move on 'cause nothing is gonna change and some of us are willing to stay fans stay supportive and wait till we get number six we will get there eventually

So with this analogy 59 years of the 64 years in existence have been wasted. Including the seasons before the SB. As they did not win the NFL championship either.
I’m of the belief that fans ought to feel and think the way they want, but the win SB or failure mentality is an impossible standard.

As one of many examples, was SF not a worthy champion last year? A muffed punt may have been all the difference.

There’s a big difference between simply being on the bad end of the scoreboard in the postseason, vs not being good enough to get to the final game in the first place. That’s my problem with Jerry’s kids, as that’s the case far too often.

Not at all the same as having gaping holes in your DLine that gave you no chance to be in that spot in from week one and not be willing to at least try to legitimately fix it when fans and media can clearly see it. No hindsight there.

What lies ahead? Definitely not hope. Hope doesn't live here as long as the Jones' boys are above ground.

If the Joneses don’t change their approach nothing is going to change.
This is simple, unvarnished truth.
Often is the case, if you build a 40 story office tower and later find structural deficiencies and errors, you fire the project's architect-engineer team.
Problem is, Jerry IS the architect-engineer. And cannot be fired.

Too long again. I bet it was pretty much like the others though.
