I am slowly coming around to finalizing my wish list for the draft.

The trades recently pretty much assures Goff and Wentz are gone and I am not comfy with Lynch at 4. I dont think Tunsil will be there at 4.Not sure I would want to take him there anyways. Would be great for the Oline, but I really want a guy whos going to make a huge difference, He will be great, but the Oline is stout already. Would love him, but I think we can get better in other areas with a great significance.

I am torn between a trade down and just taking Elliott at 4. Not sold on Bosa at all, Anyone coming off injuries scares me and it seems like all the D studs are injured of failing drug tests and I dont want a problem at 4 for sure. Ramsey could be good and I wont cry if we draft him but I dont think we are maximizing our advantage by drafting at 4 by taking him

Trading down seems ok to get to 8-10-12 area, but I dont want to go too far below that. Cle may want Lynch so trading down might defeat the purpose as far as getting a QB. As thats my first priority and wish in this draft. Bar none, but it does not look like that will happen.

So I am climbing aboard the Elliott at 4 band wagon. I think that we can use him to great advantage by establishing a running game D coordinators will fear. This is all predicated on Romo staying healthy of coarse. I am warming to the idea of drafting a QB in the 3rd or 4th. Several names have been bantered about that I would be ok with knowing they are a year away at the soonest. I dont want a 4th rounder leading the team due to an injury to Romo. If he goes down, I am thinking at best we are 8-8 and could be a lot worse, depending on what time of year he goes down.

This draft is going to be really bitter-sweet for me. I really really wanted Goff or Wentz in the worst way. Knowing they are gone, I debated internally over the last week about what I would like the boys to do and I think I am sure I want Elliott at this point. Course if one of the 2 QBs falls, I am all over taking him at 4 and forget what i just said. A trade down and all bets are off and its a total crap shoot as to how good the boys will do in the draft. Too far and we risk not getting an impact player at all. That would make me a sad panda for sure. SO I think Elliott will be a great impact on the O and allow us to finish drives and keep the D off the field as long as possible. If the D have to play 30 minutes or more a game, we are not looking at playoffs and will be drafting mid round next year. Thats my worst fear. A 15-20 pick needing a QB next year.

We will see how this all lays out, This is the most nerve wracking, unknowing what to do draft I can remember in a long time. Course we dont draft in the top 5 often (thank god). So this is really new to me to be able to get a really great player and none I like will be there.

Good luck to the boys in Thursday and hope the fans are happy, including me as well. (course some will be and some wont, nature of Cowboys Nation, were never totally satisfied). I'll let you know what I think of our draft after its over and I have digested it. Till then. The search for 6 is still alive. Be excellent to one another and Party on, dude!

Zeke at 4 is not going to happen. Jerry is not going to pay 26 mil plus guaranteed to a RB. Unless we can trade down which is doubtful no Zeke.

If Ramsey goes to San Diego then the rights to Tunsil may be traded to Tenn. so Dallas could still get Lynch @ 15.

If its slot money whats it matter who you draft there? I dont understand that argument. Take the player that will help the most. Whoever you draft will get that slot money, get the most help for that money, This argument makes no sense.

I could live with that if it happens that way.

So what happens if the Rams take Wentz which screws Philly and they go Zeke? Does San Fran trade with San Diego to go Goff at 3? Does Philly dare trade back down with San Fran who might want Goff? I would laugh if the Rams took Wentz and it screwed Philly's move to 2.

I am thinking Zeek also and I'm comfortable @4. I can be talked into anything at this point
I'm so draft talk punch drunk. But Zeek does lots of things for the team that is more
impactful then the other defensive players. We'll have to grab a QB early then ride out
the draft defense heavy.

Philly doesn't make that trade unless they know who the Rams are taking, or if they aren't comfortable with both QBs

He keeps making arguments to solidify Bosa as the pick. What he doesn't realize is that the Cowboys now have 2 guy suspended for drugs and are not going to spend 26 million on a guy who will most likely be suspended next season. Lol

Bosa is not my pet cat I don't have one in this draft. Ramsey, Bosa, Buckner one of them will be the pick if no trade back. You are going to be disappointed but Zeke will not go at 4.

Go to spotrac and take a look at salaries for position. If you draft a running back at #4, he's making too 10 money for the position (guaranteed!) before he ever takes a snap.

Conversely? If you drafted Tunsil, he would be making the 32nd salary for a tackle, right in the middle of the league at the position. A spot current occupied by Doug Free (set to make $6.5 million in 2017)

To say nothing of the league wide value of the two based on position. Running backs are had in free agency and throughout the draft each and every year.

And next season is set up to be much more loaded in terms of prospects. You draft Elliott, not only are you overpaying based on what you could have had in free agency this year, you're using the #4 overall pick to do it, and you're taking yourself out of a better draft market at the position in 2017.

Lose, lose, and lose.

Trade down, Ramsey or Bosa
That's how i see it but I'm sure jerry has EE in there too. I like Zeke a lot but sure see the value of going a different way and a RB later
