BP mentioned A. Glenn as a KO guy early in the season. He is not a punt returner.

Actually, last week when Bill was complaining about Crayton's fumbling problems on punt returns and said he was considering replacing him, he mentioned Newman and A. Glenn as being the guys who he would put back there instead of Crayton. They were working Barber back there some in the preseason, but I think Glenn and Newman will probably have to sure the punt return duties with Crayton gone.

I think Barber has put himself firmly in the running. Wasn't he doing that in the preseaon anyway? I think Marion is going to be hard to keep off the active roster after today, and the punt returns could fall to him by default because we know how much Bill loathes using someone as valuable as Newman there constantly....Besides, the way the defense is playing lately, punt return is getting a lot of action

Good call on Rector. I had forgotten about him. And I think Mosely might have just recently mentioned that he was looking good in practice. Not like I'm in a hurry to rush Crayton to the IR though.

I sure hope so. If it wasn't too much for Deion then it won't be too much for TNew. And I don't think any of us would argue that TNew is more valuable than Primetime was in Atlanta, San Fran or in Dallas. In Atlanta Deion even handled some KR duties. TNew can do it especially since teams have not been testing him anyway, it allows him to stay in the game mentally and not get bored like Randy Moss does or Deion used to.

I agree and think Newman will get some chances at returning punts but I don't think he will become a full time punt returner for the Cowboys
