I think teams have been loading up to stop JJ and with him out I think Giants will focus more on stopping the pass which could mean a big day for the RB's.

Teams have to respect Bledsoe after last weeks game. We have a real NFL QB and teams can no longer just gang up on the run and blitz our QB to death.

Its nice to have a complete team.

Hey, I know that this was last year BUT, Anthony Thomas ran for 110 against basically the same Giants D (other than Pierce) last year when Chicago played them in a Sunday night game on ESPN. And, he did this running behind a makeshift O-line AND having Krenzel as the rookie QB.

If I were the Giants' D coordinator, I'd do as much blitzing as I could get away with. Keep the Safeties back, and don't let Bledsoe get comfortable. I'd also work in the Nickel often to keep a faster player covering Whitten.

I would force the Cowboys to beat us with TT.

Now, it's up to the Cowboys and TT to exploit the holes the Giants will give us. If we ground and pound, and be successful at it, then the Giants will be deep trouble.

But if we can't run, then we fall into their trap...

sorry

I might have worded the thread wrong.

In no way do I think we are better without JJ. I wish he could start but I meant we might surprise the Giants if they think we wont be able to run without him. I only meant this as more of a one game surprise.

But it still made for a good discussion.

What WILL we do with JJ out? It's really a concern.

What will the Giants do as well???

Here's to hoping TT really is something special.

The 93 Cowboys lost their first two games without their star RB. Goes to show ... a single player can be the difference between a Super Bowl team and a team starting out 0-2.

The title of this thread is true, however there has to be another thing added to it, without Julius the pass will suffer. Without emphasis on the run, minus his ability to pick up the blitz, it will be harder to make Bledsoe look so sexy.

I'm just wondering where your getting JJ is OUT this week? I've read he's questionable but as of now nothing saying he's out. Jerry said he expects JJ to play. So do you have a link saying he is listed as out? thanks

BP will be emphasizing Blitz pickup this week. I think TT's leash will be short ... first fumble or first missed assignment, and he's on the bench. I don't think BP has any tolerance for that.

Basically the Cowboys are preparing he isn't playing. If he doesn't practice Friday, I think, then he doesn't play.

How is realizing Tyson Thompson, Marion Barber, and Anthony Thomas NOT being an improvement over Julius Jones being negative???

I'm simply stating the facts. I don't buy into fantasy and make-believe. I love the Cowboys but am not blinded into believing hype and science fiction.

Sorry, but an undrafted rookie FA RB DOES NOT scare the Giants.

Thompson is good, I hope you watch him closely Sunday. You think that Parcells would give the nod to a rookie when hes got a 4 year vet with 1000 yard experience on the bench? Parcells----Rookie. that just never mixes well. Yet hes doing it. Ever wonder why? Think on that one a bit.

Your being negitive in the fact that you would dismiss Thompson without even seeing him. Sure you saw the second half last week. But give Thompson a week as #1 in practice and lets see what hes really got. Before you judge and execute the guy, shouldn't you at least let him defend himself?

I dont know how good this kid could be. Jones is a big loss, but I am thinking Thompson will make some of that up, not all mind you, but a big portion. I dont think he has the moves Jones has, but he has speed Jones does not have. Hit 1 crease and its over, get to the outside and watch him go.

I dont know where you got your perception that the RBs on the shelf are scrubs. But I am thinking, also, that your gunna be surprised this week. I am happy with Thompson starting. No qualms at all. If you cant trust the guys on your roster, what the heck are they doing on your roster? I would go to war with em all. I think Parcells did a really bang up job in evaluating talent and keeping the best of the lot, this offseason. Thompson included.

PS. your not stating the facts, your stating YOUR opinion and trying to pass that off as fact. They are two totally different animals. Recognize that and present your opinions as opinions and not as facts and you wont get nearly as many negitive responses as you do.

The Giants are 26th in yards per carry allowed, and one of their DB's is out for this game. If the O-line shows up at all, we should be able to pass, and we'll definitely be able to run. Whoever gets 20 carries is practically guaranteed at least 100 yards this week. That's why Keyshawn said Julius would never miss this game.

TT will bust a big one against the Giants......With his speed, just give him a crease and he is gone.

Sure wish he could make someone miss.
