That put's Alan Ball back at the safety/CB role.....so we may see him covering 1 of their lethal TE's(and hopefully danny mccray comes back:pray: to cover the other)

so how do you guys feel about Ball possibly covering 1 of their TE's?

I kinda like it....he did pretty good covering WR's, at least not horrible...so a slower not so agile TE should be no problem..right?

Should be good to see

I think Church will get the call against a TE before Ball does. But we'll see.

I think New England has their work cut out for them, to be honest. Rob shut them down in Cleveland with decidedly lesser talent. He's got to be excited about the front 7 against New England this week.

we really need sensabaugh for this game
anyone know what his status for the game is?

I read somewhere that Scandrick was grabbing at his ankle in practice today. Not looking 100%.

Frank Walker is the main guy we've been putting on TEs we treat as WRs because he's very physical with them.

At this stage in his career he's the perfect CB/S hybrid prospect and I believe he's the guy we'll keep on TEs.

Ball won't be on the field that much. When we are in the nickel, it will be Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick, Elam and Sensabaugh.

Ball covering Gronkowski or Hernandez, that's laughable. Those two guys are much to physical for a guy like Ball.

the thing with Rob though...he will bring in all types of packages...he will rarely just run a straight up normal nickle formation, against 3 WR's all game long

The way NE uses their TEs like WRs, and how Brady so accurately throws to where only they can catch it, covering those two is going to be difficult to say the least. This is the best offense we've faced since the 2007 Pats.

Try 2010 Packers.

Their offense is lethal on every down.
