With signing Romo looming, JJ has got to think about that

That is something he is going to have to factor in starting right at 2008. And we will be looking at extending Newman. The cap is supposed to go up 7 million next year; if we have to pay Romo big bucks that is not going to cover it. So we will need to plan this years expenditures to dovetail in with that consideration.

Chances are TO and Terry Glenn will be gone next year. So we should be fine.

They may be gone- but some of their cap space is going to count anyway. If Romo gets the serious bucks, we will need to plan VERY carefully in order for it not to bite us like Manning has with the Colts, and Brady WILL for the Pats.

Dallas should sign Romo now. If we wait until next year and Romo has a good season, the price will be gargantuan. (I so rarely get to use that word in a sentence.)
