I thought we got the fourth round pick we traded back from Tennessee because Pacman got suspended.

We need to trade up...

We need OL, DB depth badly!

We will probably still trade up and draft a TE

O-line, I agree we need more quality depth.

Tight End though, you can't be serious. We have the best one in the league with Witten, what looks to be an outstanding young back up in Bennett and an above average number three in Curtis. Why would we need another Tight End?

I also don't think we need any DBs. The rash of injuries at that position this year made it appear we were thin. If anything, a safety or two. I believe we're good at corner.

Plus 3 Compensatory picks for losing 3 UFAs.

12 total picks.

We should get two comp picks. Keith Davis got cut by the Dolphins, and Nate Jones almost certainly won't qualify.

Hey, Dallas doesn't believe in first round OLs anyway. They should pick up some middle rounders to groom and hope they turn out better than Free, Marten, et al.

LOVE the trades from last year....great draft AND Clevelands high 3rd and Detroits really low 4th.

Given that rounds 2-4 seem to be where the Cowboys really shine, it is nice having so many picks there. We also have (probably) a big clump of picks from the bottom of the 5th on (looks like 7).

I bet Jerry breaks the record for trades this year.

We do need some OL in the draft, the only problem is that it seems like the OL we've picked lately, do not pan out for us that often though. I'm curious to see what we'll do to address backup QB, too. While Bollinger may be on the team, I have a feeling he'll be nothing more than a clipboard carrier for us. We'll probably bring in a vet QB and possibly draft a QB to develop and see what happens with him.

I like what I've seen from Scandrick so far, and hopefully, we'll see more from Jenkins next year as well. We're set at RB and TE with Bennett showing improvement since training camp, but we need to address the OL. At WR, Austin has shown improvement, and if he can remain healthy, he could be the deepthreat speed we've been missing since Terry Glenn left. TO is TO, but at 35, who knows how long he'll be able to keep it up. While Roy Williams (WR) has all the "physical" attributes to be something special. However, I just can't help but think of Alvin Harper when I think of Roy Williams, both have/had the physical attributes to be something special, but I question how badly both "want" it, or in Harper's case, how badly he "wanted" it, and the same can be said for Roy Williams as well. I realize Williams is playing with a foot injury, and he has not gone through a full training camp with us yet, etc....etc.....so hopefully, Williams will show more next season than what we've seen so far this year. Crayton is where he will be at, I don't expect to see much more out of Crayton than what he's shown so far, and the same basically applies for Hurd, IMO.

About Jenkins, if he plays and you don't hear his name mentioned all game, that means he is doing all right.

Offensive Line and a QB to backup Romo need to be top priority in this draft. Anyone know of any QB's in this draft that could backup Romo?

We should come out of this draft with 2-3 Olinemen, a safety, 2 linebackers, a DT, a QB, a WR, and possibly a FB. The interesting thing will be how much trading Jerry does.

Get our o'line depth and other needs from the draft...but,
going with a rookie backup QB is a mistake. Very few are ready to "come off the bench" and enter a game without making huge mistakes that would probably cost us the game.
This is where vet. QB's shine, former starters who are now on the slight downside of their careers...EXPERIENCE!!!

Do we think Roy Williams the Safety will be back? His contract is getting pretty expensive for his lack of coverage skills. I could see us lumping him with a few draft picks and maybe another bench warmer for a higher pick. Not saying it will be worth a 1st, but that would depend on the team in questions needs/wants and what will be available in the 1st round.

I do. I think his deal will be re-worked to a more cap friendly deal, but I'd be shocked if he's not back.

Many here won't though.

We could probably get the kid from Clemson (Cullen Harper) with a late second day pick. He had a huge junior year but his numbers are way down this season. Due mostly to very poor O-line play. I don't think he would ever be a franchise QB but in my oppinion he could be a great backup similar to Jason Garrett. With any young QB however, Dallas would probably try to put him on the practice squad for at least one season. The problem with that is you have to release him to do it. That's how we lost Matt Moore who the coaches REALLY liked alot.
