I was hoping one of the draft nerds would give me some names to pine over all winter...

There are so many needs it could be just about any defensive position. A 1T is certainly at or near the top of the list, I've felt we needed one for years. But it could also be a MLB, or a true safety, be it SS or FS. Sean Lee may have only a year or 2 left, might need to consider that. Scandrick makes a big play here & there then disappears & our other corners aren't stopping anybody at all. We might be OK at DE but even at that what do we have other than Dlaw? Things might not get better without a huge infusion of defensive talent, more than you're likely to get under the current FO mindset. And then there's the defensive coach & scheme, that's a whole other issue.
And it's not like we're without offensive needs. The oline has taken a definite step backwards. We have to consider WRs & TE.
How did things go so bad so fast?

Depending how the rest of the season goes and what QB's are available when we pick, a QB has to be a consideration. I know it won't be which will only put us back another year, if not more.

Off the top of my head
Payne - Alabama who Brugler just called Suh lite, at # 319 ! (and my pet cat all year).
Vea - Washington
Wilkins - Clemson, but more of a 3-tech, but imagine him and Collins next to each other in the middle.
There's a guy from Florida State I think. Who is highly rated now too.
And look at Bodi's last mock, he had a 3rd rounder on a guy who looks intriguing.

A lot of the draft sites like drafttech etc. all have positional's you can look at, the rounds will probably be off this early, but at least it gives you names to look at .....
