Post Week 2:

End of week 2 (remaining games have no effect) Dallas firmly has a grasp on the 2nd selection. I'm not joking, I wish I was.

SO, if the season ended today, who's your choice?

Picking this high, you have to get a playmaker!

Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU

Robert Quinn OR Aj Green.

Miles-Dez-Green...MHHHHM I can dream.

AJ Green would be my choice as well but I cant see Jerry drafting another WR in the 1st round.

I'd be fine with that. Corner and o-line are the two places I want us to spend a 1st on. Newman's getting old, but he still has plenty left to play while the rookie gets groomed to take over.

I think we gotta take the best OT we can get

thats where we need the help is the o line

We'll draft a TE.

Meanwhile, there will be an upcoming Pacquiao fight at Jerry World and Jerry will be filming episodes of HBO's hit show True Blood.

I know I sound very Chicken Little'ish here but I think we are doomed as long as Jerry is our "GM". A team's GM should be a workaholic, not a celebrity.

I'm not sure there are any tackles worth #2 overall. Although Carimi is interesting.

I don't care if Orlando Pace is on the board.

Jerry ain't taking OL #2 overall.

He can't even get himself to take one in the first round.

Depending on what we do with Spears we would have our choice of Heyward, Clayborne or Bailey along with a CB.

Depending on the Juniors I'd go CB/FS and bump Scandrick to #4 CB. Nakamura.

not even if theres a Jake long there

if cowboys dont take a QB in first round, and still have a high pick, i would do this

trade with new england, get their 2 numbers ones,
you will still be able to get a QB mid rounds, maybe a qb as good as rothensberger that went to steelers in 11th overall pick in 1st round, while you can also pick up a stud offensive linemen in 1st round too

if you have a real high pick, say # 2 overall or # 1 overall, then new england would have to probably give you 2 number one picks, plus say a 3rd or so.

you can use that 3rd to move up with your other 1st rounder if you have to, or keep 3rd for another good player

this team isnt far from being dominating, but they need some dominant players impact players

also, i see cowboys probably maybe getting a 3rd compensation pick for flozell maybe, and say a 7th for ken hamlin, since we havent signed any free agents this year so far

you could then trade up again in 2nd and 3rd rounds and get some more impact players like you did getting dez, lee and ansah this year

Joe, the Pats have the Raiders' pick (and thier own) so I would imagine that their top pick will still be higher than ours, even if this year was a disaster.

both those players were waived/cut. we get comp picks if they leave in free agency.

also why are we taking a QB
