With the lack of talent in this year's draft, should we ditch the trade value chart?

So, did we need another future superstar that gets paid the maximum contract for his position in four years?

Besides, if this is true then it is true for every team.

It might be beneficial to trade some picks for better picks next season.

For example, trade a 6th round pick this year to a 5th rounder next year.

I wouldn't mind trading completely out of the first round for something like a 2nd and 3rd this season and a 1st round pick in 2026.

Each team has their own draft value chart. So there are 32 versions of it. So it's never "accurate" or team specific.

YES the Cowboys should take less if they have to in order to make a trade. It's worth getting the extra player. That's just one of the things that needs to be done when you are inactive in FA.
Fair, that makes sense. I guess I took it as the generic online draft charts so we were thinking about it in two different ways! I would agree that teams should be following their own charts they have adjusted for the current talent pool.

Also very deep in 1 Tech DTs.
If you want an impact 3 tech, better get those in rounds 1-2.
But if you want a run defending 1 Tech, you can get those into rounds 6.
I’ve not really dug into the depth at DT but we sure could use another. Mazi hasn’t panned out so far and this is likely his last chance. We have DT’s who can impact the passing game but we need a big beast who can impact the run game. I do like Grant if he was there in 2nd I’d have to consider.

I feel the same way about this draft, but I would not take less than the points chart indicates to move down. If course the points chart is a guideline and teams can negotiate off that but I prefer to be on the winning side of any trades. If a team isn;t willing to give up picks then maybe ask for a current player off their roster.
