Not losing their roles I see one thing.

We are shopping both and it's a smokescreen to increase their value.

Or it's the cowardly lion coaching staff at it's best

I really wish we'd wake up and hold on to Crayton. I think that he's a lot more valuable than we as fans give him credit for.

This reminds me of the time I thought I had a kidney stone and it turned out to be indigestion.

Not sure I'm making the connection, sorry, it has been a long day.

Funny, I hope they wake up and get rid of the mouthy, aging, average WR who is scared of some competition and unwilling to fight for his job. Let some other team deal with all of that.

To each his own I suppose, I'd rather get rid of the older, dumber, slower, less athletic, bad handed (is that a word) WR in Roy Williams and hold on to Crayton.

Yeah. The obvious move is to keep the more valuable player and it's no contest between Crayton and Williams. Crayton is a better value at twice the price ($2m salary) than Williams is at his, not to mention the draft picks.

If Dez is the real deal, then we don't have any conceivable need for RW11. And that's not even considering KO, who should be very solid...

I was just thinking today, how crazy is it that we may have yet another diamond sitting behind everyone in Ogletree? This team has so much talent at skill positions that it almost makes me sick.

Edit: If Roy Williams wakes up this year and pulls his head out of his *** it is going to be U-G-L-Y.

What a ridiculous perspective.

He's done nothing BUT compete and fight for his job since he's been here....and has been rewarded with being demoted in order to make room for someone who hasn't.

His hand has been forced. He's given everything he has to an organization that is essentially saying "yeah...thanks for busting your ***, but now that you're going to require a raise...I think we'll look elsewhere." I'm not saying the Cowboys are wrong for doing so either...it's just business.

He deserves to get his last chance at a payday.....if not here (which is obviously not going to happen), then somewhere else. His window of opportunity is getting pretty small....

williams, born 81, 4.42 dash
crayton, born 79, 4.58 dash

i dont know how you would compare them athletically cause they have two different skill sets. ill agree with hands

Older - WRONG!!! Someone born on 04/07/1979 is older than someone born on 12/20/1981.

Dumber - Debatable

Slower - I don't think so

Less Athletic - Hardly

Bad handed - If you go by last year alone, I'll give that one

I wouldn't mind seeing RW11 gone but it isn't going to happen this year so there's no real point in discussing it. Crayton is as dispensible as a player can get. His stats are not that great and team is stacked at WR. If they can't get 37-622-5 out of Ogletree, Dez, and Hurd then the team isn't going anywhere anyway!

Crayton isn't up for a raise. He has a contract with a few years left on it. He has been a good player for being a 7th rounder but he isn't some great WR that cannot be replaced. Olgetree is breathing down his neck and should probably be ahead of him at some point this year. They drafted Dez. If he can't give them Crayton's stats and more, they should have gone OT or safety in the draft. If he was gone, noone would even notice because they have talented WRs that can fill that spot easily. Crayton will make $2 million and may not be active on gamedays this year. He has a past of running his mouth a little too much and you know he will not keep it shut this year. He is the last mouthy guy left who could split a lockeroom and I could care less if he moves on.

Riight....obvioulsy reading between the lines is not your forte'.

...and we all know football players' contracts never get reworked for performance, or lack there of....

He has been a good player for being a 7th rounder but he isn't some great WR that cannot be replaced.

He's been a DAMN good player for being a 7th.....if that's how we rate these sorts of things...

Olgetree is breathing down his neck and should probably be ahead of him at some point this year.

Speculation aside, I have no problem with this. Neither did Crayton.

They drafted Dez.

Yes, they did.

If he can't give them Crayton's stats and more, they should have gone OT or safety in the draft.

BUST! What? Really?

If he was gone, noone would even notice because they have talented WRs that can fill that spot easily.

Well I certainly hope you're right Miss Cleo, because the guy that was supposed to do it last year sucked at it.

Crayton will make $2 million and may not be active on gamedays this year.

I know right! How dare this non-comptetive POS actually want to be activated to play football in favor of giving his spot to the pedigree of the month.

He has a past of running his mouth a little too much and you know he will not keep it shut this year. He is the last mouthy guy left who could split a lockeroom and I could care less if he moves on

You could? Ok.

Like I said, you're perspective is ridiculous.

I find it amusing all these people who think Spears should be treated with more respect but its perfectly fine to treat Crayton in a bad way (not even sitting down with the guy) when Crayton and Spears are both bout the same on their side of the ball and one guys was 1st round pick and other guy was a 7th rounder.

You are lucky then because kidney stones could be one of the most painful things that any one could go through.

What news about Crayton?

BZ seems to have read information that Crayton won't have to compete for his job. From which source the information is derived is not yet known.
