I was wondering what Singletons salary cap implications are? If they sign Peterson and plan to bring in another LB in the 1st 3 rounds you'd think that Singelton might be let go.

Thornton, Fowler, Burnett and Scott are somewhat better fits, younger and cheaper as backups.

I think we missed the guy last yr when he got hurt, but you'd think we'd be much better at filling that position this year without him.... If they get Peterson.

I think the writing was already on the wall for Singleton's departure. Though I've been learning how to calculate the cap savings, etc. I still am not comfortable making a statement about how much is saved.

I'm the sameway Hos, just seems like when Nors was telling us how Singlton was a goner all last yr it was because at least partly because of his salary.

I'm just thinking whatever we save on his salary would go straight into Peterson's pocket. Making our available room a little more than it looks.

I'm all up for adding Peterson. It's true that he hasn't been quite the same since his knee injury but with him now being two years removed from it he should be back to his old, normal dominating self.
