With Wade, Henry stays CB?

Please let me know what your thoughts are on this matter.

From what I know of Wade's system, he doesn't require his CBs to stay man-on-man for long periods. Part of that is pass rush, but part is being physical on the line and playing zone. This would mean that Henry would be more successful in his defense and he would be LESS likely to be moved to FS.

Thoughts?

I'm hoping he keeps Anthony Henry where he is. His year was not that bad and it will be hard to draft/sign a quality corner and still address other free agent needs.

That could be.

I think many things are going to be in a state of flux. It will an interesting training camp.

Before I would even think about moving Henry Dallas would have to bring in another CB. Henry had a tough season playing on a bad knee but when healthy I think the guy does a good job playing the corner.

Henry is still better than what he's used to with Jammer.

they guy was hurt last year.

he's a CB.

now if you wnat to get a top CB then SIT ROY an move Henry to S that is a different story...

At first I was excited about the move of Henry to FS, but that leaves a glaring hole at CB. Glenn is a nickel guy if he comes back and Reeves is not starter quality. This would force our hand to throw big dollars in FA or go CB early in the draft. I'd rather be able to go into the draft taking BPA. Now if Revis is there you take him, but I don't want to be hemmed in at 22 that way.

Henry is among the highest paid members of the Dallas Cowboys.

His 2006 Cap number was $11 Million.

His 2007 salary is higher than Glenn and Newman, coming in at $3.6 million.

His play was so bad, that his agent has mentioned that Henry would welcome a shot at FS.

You do the math.

Actually, the draft seems stocked with good corners so moving Henry to FS wouldn't be too bad since there is a great deal of value at the corner position in this particular draft.

Henry is way better than either starter for the Chargers. The only position changes I see on defense will be the LBs. Burnett and Carpenter could possibly move inside. I think Burnett might be the one, since he could play the spot Donnie Edwards played in SD.

With Kiel periodically getting into legal trouble over selling codeine and whizzing in public and being addicted to gambling etc., would the Chargers consider giving Jammer some looks at Kiel's SS spot in case Kiel flames out? I seem to remember there being talk last year that Jammer might make a better S than CB with the new rules essentially discouraging contact between a CB and WR at any point after the line of scrimmage being instituted. Plus, A. Cromartie looks ready to move into a starting job.

I think my point is that Henry and Jammer seem to be the same type of player, ie. not incredibly athletic or skilled man-to-man coverage-wise but still somewhat rangy and physical and a good tackler, so if Jammer is considered capable of playing S, perhaps Henry might not be out of place there.
