Without a top 5 corner this team has no chance

Obviously you undervalue diggs as much as those who thought this was still a Super Bowl team without your top corner. Maybe you still think bland can cover better on the outside.
Let me ask you again - how does a CB that is NOT known as a run defender help the team to NOT give up 222 yards RUSHING? If you run that successfully, you don't even have to throw much (Dobbs threw 21 passes).

The Diggs injury killed any chances at playoff spot Let alone a Super Bowl. Only chance is that jerry can find an equal replacement to come in and fill that spot asap. Who do you think would be available and what type of deal would lure that team to draft them. Sauce is a pipe dream but the jets have aloof of needs on oline and qb I think they may bite of offered two firsts and two seconds. A steep price yes but if it save the season. You do it. With diggs and sauce at the corners next year you may even may a run at back to back super bowls
Welp. Let me pack it up till next year.

You don’t have to pack it up. We can and will still enjoy the season. I enjoyed watching the boys when they were 1-15 in 1989 as much as enjoyed being there in the dome they day won Super Bowl 12. But make no mistake. This is not a superbowl team as it is now.

I'm sure that the Diggs injury affected how DQ called that game and other games the rest of the way. Having Diggs and Gilmore outside and Bland inside allows single high safety play, with the box stacked to aid on the run. Without 7, does DQ trust Bland and Gilmore enough to go man to man all game and use a single high safety?

Looking forward to see the breakdown on how the defense played. If they called the game exactly how they would if 7 plays, then they could be in trouble. If they changed how they call defense because of the injury, they can be in trouble. Maybe this is an outlier. Maybe DQ adjusts.

Can't wait for film breakdowns. (Perhaps Stephen himself will let us know since he mentioned them needing to watch the film). Lol

Read what slick posted. That’s your answer. He already said it so I will not repeat it.

One player does not a season make. The defense couldn't stop the run, the offense can't score a touchdown. Diggs does not play on offense does he? Or the D-Line?
You must have forgotten how bad the defense was when Sean Lee got injured.. defense totally collapsed.

Really so they sit a 300 million dollar number one, heisman trophy winning qb on the bench and start a guy who has been on four different teams and would only be on ps at Dallas. And you say they are not trying to lose. Let me repeat it for you. Heisman Trophy winner, number one draft pick, 300 million dollar qb on the bench and you say they are not trying to lose

He was on the PUP and then went to the IR for an ACL injury ~9 months ago.
He's not even on the bench.

He had surgery in January. He was always unlikely to start the season.

You can question who the Cardinals has started in his place, but even then it's not like Dobbs has struggled greatly-especially with the lack of reps he got before the first game.

Yes, I believe it was the first superbowl year in 1992. The Los Angeles Rams were the worst team in the NFL that year. It was a home game for Dallas and we lost to them. That's a fact. I'm responding to someone earlier asking if we had ever lost to a bad team during a Superbowl year for Dallas.

I don’t think losing Diggs made this loss happen. Yeah they picked at Bland. But we had no Offense. We couldn’t put points on the board.

15 penalties with 10 accepted in the first half alone... this is not the team we saw the first 2 weeks, lets hope this was the one off of a truly unfocused team on Sunday... a CB doesnt fix that.

I feel you homie. I was being sarcastic. I too remember the 1-15 years, 7-9, 11-5 getting trounced by the Lions. My fandom will never waver. I’ve seen 4 titles in my lifetime. Some fanbases have seen zero. Perspective is very healthy after games like this, lol.

we couldnt score AND we couldnt stop a Josh Dobbs lead team... thats bad the kinda bad that speaks of over looking an opponent which was done from the coaches to the waterboy sunday.

What does a CB have to do with 222 yards rushing at 7.4 yards per carry against the Jonesboys defense? You throw to score, run to win and defense wins championships. Cowboys have a problem running to win on offense and stopping the run on defense.

I agree they over looked them. We had a whole backup O-Line in the game. Tyron was standing on the sidelines looking very upset. They thought they could skate by and make a play or 2 and take the game. They had several chances but didn’t do it..
