Son of a *****! This QB we all know. The number we have all come to love... #9. The guy the media loves to hate and embrace. He is Tony Romo. An NFL QB who has only made 26 some odd starts. Who has already been invited to 2 Pro Bowls.
This guy is has yet to peak. This guy has yet to hit stride with an already potent offense.
Tony Romo is getting better as we speak. Not only concentrating on every little nuance an NFL QB needs to be successful, but fine-tuning his own game to his team's liking. Tony is somewhat un-orthodoxed, but much like his predecessor and childhood idol, Brett Favre, he is carving his very own niche in today's ever-changing NFL.
Tony is proving with each offseason that diligence is key. OTA's, mini-camps, and training camp offer Tony the chance to work on footwork, a variety of throwing motions, and the chance to build even more of a report with his Pro Bowl WR Terrell Owens, and Pro Bowl TE Jason Witten and company.
We as fans should be thankful to finally find a diamond in all of that NFL rough that we've endured since the retirement of Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman. Sure, Eli was lucky enough to win a Super Bowl. But lucky is lucky. And we as Cowboy fans know that good is good. Aikman was good. And so is Tony. Mr. Romo is good, with the opportunity to be great. How does that sound?
Gonna leave it at that! Draw your own conclusions. But beware of the warm and fuzzy vibes I've been getting. And try not to curse when getting overly excited about Tony's, and the Dallas Cowboys future!
