Son of a *****! This QB we all know. The number we have all come to love... #9. The guy the media loves to hate and embrace. He is Tony Romo. An NFL QB who has only made 26 some odd starts. Who has already been invited to 2 Pro Bowls.

This guy is has yet to peak. This guy has yet to hit stride with an already potent offense.

Tony Romo is getting better as we speak. Not only concentrating on every little nuance an NFL QB needs to be successful, but fine-tuning his own game to his team's liking. Tony is somewhat un-orthodoxed, but much like his predecessor and childhood idol, Brett Favre, he is carving his very own niche in today's ever-changing NFL.

Tony is proving with each offseason that diligence is key. OTA's, mini-camps, and training camp offer Tony the chance to work on footwork, a variety of throwing motions, and the chance to build even more of a report with his Pro Bowl WR Terrell Owens, and Pro Bowl TE Jason Witten and company.

We as fans should be thankful to finally find a diamond in all of that NFL rough that we've endured since the retirement of Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman. Sure, Eli was lucky enough to win a Super Bowl. But lucky is lucky. And we as Cowboy fans know that good is good. Aikman was good. And so is Tony. Mr. Romo is good, with the opportunity to be great. How does that sound?

Gonna leave it at that! Draw your own conclusions. But beware of the warm and fuzzy vibes I've been getting. And try not to curse when getting overly excited about Tony's, and the Dallas Cowboys future!

So youre saying he has potential?

You'll have to forgive me, I've had too many bottled waters, and decided to go off on a warm and fuzzy depiction of what I thought Tony Romo is, and will become. ;)

Actually, I've been sippin' on Coors Light tall boys with the new vented wide-mouth cans (LET'S VENT!) and became inspired.

All I can say is that the few articles and posts that I have read regarding Tony Romo have me smiling. I can tell he is working hard on improving, which only makes the Dallas Cowboys that much better. More of a contender.

Who knows, 2008-2009 could be our year!

Pathetic.

So what? Let him golf. He doesn't owe you or any of us anything.

Amen bro. I thank the football gods each and every day they brought us a franchise type QB once again.

By the way. Romo will be bringing the Cowboys back against the Lions tomorrow at 2:30pm EST and 8:30pm EST on NFL Replay.

He's also going to be golfing at Torrey Pines in that NBC Golf Special at 2pm EST. That's the round he recorded about a week ago with Justin Timberlake, Matt Lauer and some other dude. I will be recording and making a best of highlight reel which I will Youtube sometime tomorrow night.

What's wrong with playing golf? John Soltz plays several times a week and he's a HOF pitcher. A LOT these guys play all the time. Jordan played all winter during the season when he was in a city where it was warm. You need to get a clue.

Watching the 1981 Championship replay the other day I saw a few special Montana plays that few QB's make.

Its so exciting to have one of the few. To have a QB who reminds me of Montana.

I believe this is the year Romo gives us that Montana to Clark type career signiture moment.

I'd rather him playing Golf then basketball or baseball, as the risk of injury is FAAAR less and playing golf is like playing the Quarterback position, with each hit of the ball and every swing of the club you will either make or break your team, the discission to lay it up or over shoot the hole is like taking the 5 yard play or shooting for that 30 yard slant...;)...its all elementary watson

Actually, he owes us, the fans, everything. We are the ones who give him a reason to do what he does. Having said that, I don't begrudge him having a life or a hobby outside of football. If he happens to be really good at that hobby then all the better for him. Just don't let it affect the job that we pay him for.

I really like what he does on the field, but it is hard for me to support a guy that constantly makes a spectacle of himself. Tony needs to stop acting like a total d-bag.

Is he making a spectacle of himself or is he simply living his life while the media tells you he's making a spectacle of himself? Playing golf, going to sports events, going to restaurants, hanging out with his girlfriend, etc. is all normal behavior for any man, but the media follows him around and tells you that he's a media ***** and you believe it.

A lot of people have sang "Take me out to the ballgame" at Cubs games. It's a tradition. In fact, since Harry Carey's death, a different person has sang it at EVERY Cubs game. But when Romo did it (because he was in town for a college get-together), they blew it out of proportion. Don't let the media shape your opinions.
