Without Felix we're just average.

Without him we are. We looked like last year when he went out at Arizona.

We have No threat outside of him. I love Barber and Choice...but they really don't scare anybody.

IMO Felix is the key.

Choice and Barber both make plays and make big plays. They may not have the YPC average that Felix has but they're more consistent. Choice at the least shown he can take a pounding and keep coming. To me choice is the best RB on the tea,/ Felix is a nice option to have and but his inability to stay healthy and lack of pass blocking is a real problem.

when you compare this team to teams that win more than they loose in this league our Defense stacks up pretty well (despite the underachievement this season), our QB is serviceable, our RB's are better than most and our TE's also are better than most... the difference is at WR. our WRs suck and they keep on sucking! you can not count on them! a good play here and there does not equal the heaping piles of failure that they represent! this team has tried to find "steals" in the draft at every position (failing far more than i am comfy with!) but no position has been neglected like WR and we are paying for it!!

We have three excellent RBs on this team who have great vision, excellent movement, and they all give second & third effort. Saying that, Felix Jones is by far the most dangerous. He would scare me to death if I'm the other team.

We COULD use another speed threat like Ogletree. I'm not saying he's the savior, but putting him in on third & long would at least force the secondary to play back.

I have no idea why Jones seems to have been so injury prone lately but I don't think it will define his career in the end. I just hope he recovers soon, really soon, the Cowboys need this guy on the field because he draws so much attention which helps the passing game, he's the x-factor.
Credit the Denver coaches who did an excellent job in the film room studying what Dallas does w/o Jones. Unfortunately Garrett never adjusted and Tony could hit the side of a barn most of the day. Where was the screen in the 2nd half? How about play action on 1st down? Come on Jason, you have to go against your tendancies sometimes, especially as the game progresses. Where was Barber at the end inside the five? Felix was definitely missed but there was more missing yesterday than him.

Correction. We're average, or below average with Romo as the QB, and his inability to recognize the blitz.

Denver did a great job of confusing him, and the strip sack was all his fault. He has to know where the safeties are at all times. That is the QB's job. He didn't recognize it, and the results were putrid.

I dont even feel like felix is a part of this team. I bet alot of the players do not either.

He is always hurt. He is unreliable and he can not be depended on for anything.

All he really is at the moment is a luxury and if he can play again at some point this year that will be great, but I am not holding my breath. He is simply unreliable.

:hammer:

And you can add Crayton, Roy, Hurd and Austin. This offense is about as lackluster as I have ever seen as far as playmakers go. Its pathetic.

W/O Felix we have no spark.

I remember all that talk about how unstoppable we were gonna be in our 2 TE set.

I remember all that talk about how Roy was going to be healthy and unstoppable.

I remember all that talk about Miles Austin emerging as a big play threat.

You don't let a guy that scored 38 TDs for you walk just because you hope that some guys are going to break out.

But you have to nuture the 69 million dollar man. You can't be "Romo Friendly" if you dont give proven vets like Crayton, Hurd and Austin a chance to make big plays and offset that production.

If you are relying on an UDFA WR has your "spark", then we are destined for a Top 15 pick.

And I remember all the talk as well. It was spewing plentifully once TO was cut into Week 4.

I really wonder where Marty B has gone. Every training camp observer said we worked on the two-TE set a ton, and he was looking like he would be a major factor this year.

Just don't understand why he's barely been used.

There was a TE screen we called this past game on a long 3rd down that would've been perfect for Bennett, but we designed it for Witten. He's obviously much better after the catch than Witten. I just don't know if Garrett knows how to correctly utilize him.

Even in pre-season when he was putting up some decent numbers it was usually when he was playing as the no. 1 TE when Witten was sitting.

Same thing I've been wondering. With the amount of attention Witten gets, you would thing that we'd be trying to sneak Bennett vertically down the field.

What did we hear this offseason? Uncoverable, physical freak, red zone threat.

Its not Marty B's fault, I just think our OC has been trying to get too cute.

Dude, you're making me depressed. To hear you say the things you're saying is shocking.

It's bad when I'm the one trying to be positive about the season and you've already (in so many words) given up.

I guess all I'm waiting for is either Hos or Crazycowboy to give up, and that's it for me.

Im not giving up. I wouldnt do that.

Im just looking at the team and seeing some things I dont like. I am not sure they are correctable during a season. It's almost like we have picked up right where we left off in december and the guys are reacting the same way.

If I didnt see Bradie James say we dont know how to do it I wouldnt be as down as I am. What I hear is a guy asking for help, saying he is working as hard as he possibly can and nothing changes. I dont think there is anyone here to help. I just think these guys are on their own and they are not good enough to beat the good teams in this league that are well run.

I still really like the team, I hope I am dead wrong but I just dont see them being able to pull out of the funks they create. I dont think they are getting the help from the staff that they need to get out of this funk.

I think this team is at the point where they will stand up and fight and do whatever it takes to get it back on track or they will simply completely bottom out.

From what I hear from the head coach and the owner and some of the players in the locker room, it is my opinion that they will bottom out soon.
