Witten Injury?

Found this on the USA Today fantasy pages and found nothing about it on this board:

The Dallas radio stations are abuzz this week with speculation about a Jason Witten injury. It would help explain his diminished production, but T.O. and the Dallas offensive line have a lot to do with it as well. Either way, Witten is no longer an elite tight end in fantasy leagues. Consider benching him this week, but don't drop him. … I didn't mention him in Waiver Wired, but Joe Klopfenstein is starting to get more looks in the St. Louis offense. He had a 20-yard gain overturned last week and should be able to find room in the middle of zone defenses worried about Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.

Anybody know what they're talking about?

Forget the fantasy football spectrum...

He hasn't looked like an elite TE this year.

I listen to the Dallas radio stations most all day every day (103.3 and 1310) and I have yet to hear about a Jason Witten injury.

He's really not far off from being just where he's supposed to be though..

1.) TD called back vs. the Jags

2.) Kinda open on the last play against Philly

3.) Wide open for a TD against the Texans but Bledsoe missed him

Not to mention Hurd knocking the ball away from him and our Offensive Lines uncanny ability to get holding calls on huge gains.

Witten's had some bad luck statistically so far, he'll be fine.

I'm not concerned about the fantasy football thing. I was just concerned about this speculation that had the Dallas radio stations "abuzz". Apparently, they made it up since no one on this board has heard anything about it. I understand why Jason hasn't put up any big numbers.
In New England, Drew Bledsoe turned Ben Coates into a superstar with Parcells as his head coach. His preference seems to be tilted more towards Glenn downfield this time around.

When he hit the ground hard against the Texans, he did appear to hurt his shoulder or something. Of course, his production has been down all season. Not sure if it's due to injury.

statistics can get on their knees....and scrub my floor. I want wins, and if Witten makes 2 catches per game and we get to the playoffs, great. I dont care what he does for FF geeks, what his Madden rating is, or any of that other none sense.
