Witten insulted by Dez' comments?

If that is the case JJ or SJ needs to get rid of this guy. If your HC is the leak you have traitor in the heart of your organization.
i agree but more than likely his narrative fits with JJ or more importantly as this time SJ narrative.

Dez is an emotional player and when a stressful event happens, humans naturally let their emotions come out and get caught up in the moment.

Cooler heads will ultimately prevail, but Dez will someday look back (if he hasn't already) on what he could have done himself to not put himself in this situation.
Agree
Dez would have been better served to have taken some time before going out and doing an interview

I think its Dak and Witten he's referring too. I don't think either had a effect on his release....he can't blame the guy who actually released him.....but I'm a little shocked he hasn't thrown Garrett and Stephen more under the bus than he has.

Even Romo never publicly went after Garrett directly but you could always tell that he soured on him.

Dez has basically left the organization with the same feelings.

While I think Dez is an emotional guy I do Romo as an extremely more rationale guy and both came to the same conclusion about Jason Garrett.

Maybe, but Dak doesn't have that kind of power. I hate that that narrative is now floating around and Dak has to deal with it. He has enough on his plate already.
They are making the offense to fit him. That's the whole reason. He has more power than you think.

I don’t think it was Dak based on his comments, but if it was and he truly felt like it was the right thing (which it is) than good on him.
Dez needs to grow up and take responsibility for his crappy play.

If they didn’t ask a highly revered player like Witten for his opinion, which I totally believe, then I doubt they’d ask Dak for his input. Or anyone else on the roster. Who else has more respect and experience on the team than Witten?

When he made that "C" comment I don't think he realized how reckless that comment was and he hasn't tried clarifying that. Like honestly.....do I see Tyrone Crawford, or Dan Bailey saying something to the coaches about Dez? Witten.....possibly but even then.....they didn't strike me as guys who hated each other. Even with Dak. I think Dez was more hurt that he didn't have a C on his jersey than he was mad at those guys. Just my belief.
Ya,' maybe?
cuz' in a money, cash monies optical casing-liner such as the one he's fielding ,that "C" on his chest would've rendered him
" uncuttable " o_O

If they are not asking any players for their opinions then they are just incompetent.

i think Dez was probably referring to Dak
Agreed...I am curious about how this plays out within the locker room dynamic. While I have been pretty tied up with life and haven't been glued to the media coverage about this, I have noticed an interesting trend (via Twitter, etc.) of shock and dismay expressed from some (now) ex-teammates. If Dak is viewed as having a heavy hand in this outcome, it'll be very interesting to see how it impacts his leadership status on the club...does he take more of the reigns and become the heart and soul of the team (taking on much of what Dez often represented despite his cratering stats) or does he become a lightning rod for division? The next few months will be very revealing and God help him if the passing game experiences early struggles next season.

Regardless, while I am sorry to see one of my favorite players go out like that, it was probably time to move on...I hope he's inspired to light it up next season, but I fear his body will continue to betray him.

I find it funny how some of you are missing what actually happened when its right in front of you. Dez talked to Garrett. Garrett doesn't like confrontation and always always will blame someone else. I would bet a lot on Garrett telling Dez it was Dak and Witten or the guys with the "C'" just to pass the buck and not have to deal with it. Garrett is as sleazy and as slippery as it gets. Has been a long time, and it all started with Wade. Garrett will do ANYTHING to protect himself. Anything. Including winning a meaningless game and costing us draft position, just so he doesn't have another 8-8 on his record as a coach.

Garrett is the REAL PROBLEM here folks. Until this organization cleanses themselves of this perennial loser and cancer, nothing will change. RKG stands for Don't stand against me or you will be standing alone. Get ready for Bease to be gone next.

C’s know their position from top to bottom. C’s don’t show up to meetings, buses and planes on their time. C’s don’t go to work on talent alone, C’s put in the work every day.

There’s plenty of I, but no C in Dez. Sorry Dezbians, he was getting older and less productive. It was time to move on. Sorry the timing didn’t jive with all the 6-pack, armchair GM’s out there. You’ll live.

i find that the biggest glaring point too. someone goes up to Garrett and says we need to get better and he takes offense and then lobbies for dismissal. dudes a small small man.

I was trying to get a six-pack, but I found out it's kind of hard... so I ended up buying a 6-pack of beer instead. That was hella more fun!

It's going to take every player who was ever a captain to make a press conference statement before people admit Dez is just off his rocker.

The best thing Dez could have EVER done from day one was stay off of Twitter.
