I like both these guys, but come on. Witten is a great receiver and a very inconsistent blocker. It is like the Roy Williams deal. Great at line, not great in coverage. Play the players to their strengths.

Witten is missing a lot of blocks and I think he's not happy in his role. When Romo went in, and Witten ran mid range routes I think he was a good weapon in game. He's been invisible for most of season except when his guy runs right through him on blocks.

Fasano is being given a huge role in offense and he's being a typical rookie! Lots of mistakes mixed in with some promising plays. Fasano has had a ton of bad penalties before last night, and misses a bunch of blocks too.

This is where Romo helps, where we can open up the offense a bit and use players too there strengths. We know now we can't protect Bledsoe and our backs aren't doing a great job picking up the blitzers (even though the holes open so fast that it would be tough unless you use the shotgun every time).

Anyway, I think we need to change the offensive scheme and use our weapons as weapons and not protectors. Otherwise put 7 oline in there and not use TE and RB's.

Yea...Fasano stinks imo and Witten is never going to be a Dan Campbell type blocking TE.

Is Fasano catching passes? No. Is he making great blocks? No. Is he committing untimely penalties? Yes. So why is he playing?

Jason Witten is a poor and pathetic blockers. On the flea flicker play, he was blocking Levar Arrington and he whiffed on the block. Witten needs to understand that tight ends are supposed to block too, not just catch passes.
