this suites him much better.
We agree on this 100 percent!
I'm a firm believer players should retire when they feel it's time, and if a player is willing to accept a lesser role than he is used to in order to stay in the game I say go for it. Who knows, maybe Witten needed this extra season to come to grips with the fact it is time.
just tell me he is not going to TV any more....that was very painful watching him on TV....I love him as a cowboys forever. one of the top 10 TEs ever to play the game...but man he was horrid on TV...
My 2nd daughter is named after him. No joke. Daisy-Mae Witten Canela
the potential HOF class in 5 years could be one of the greatest
*not retired yet.
I'll take a gamer like Witten anytime anyplace. So would Romo................
The Witten hate is ridiculous. Dude played hard when he was here. Broken ribs, ect. Man we have some dumb fans lmao.
All I see is a guy running without a helmet.
What’s with our fanbase bashing ex-players? Why y’all gotta act so petty. Dude been gone already.
Again,?? It will be his last time.
Jerry might even give the Raiders our 2nd round pick for Witt just to make sure he is a Cowboy before retiring.
I'm not bashing Witten at all. Just pumping up fans to realize we have 3 pretty good TEs.
Witten will be fine. One of the best Cowboys ever.
Yawn. Should have stayed retired.
I'm very comfortable with my knowledge as a football fan and scholar. Jason Witten was a very good, NOT great player. But he was also selfish. Period!
“Selfish”, lmao. Put down the pipe my guy. If doing your job, & putting your body on the line is “selfish”, then I don’t understand society anymore. He wasn’t any less selfish than Ware or Romo was. Hate-watchers like you need to get a life.
My life is good. Been a Cowboy fan for a long time. Witten, Ware, Romo etc....represent an era of Cowboy football that just simply did not win. Was not all their fault, but make no mistake...they are not Aikman, Emmit, Irvin, Woodson. It's just that simple. The post Jimmy Johnson era Cowboys coaches AND players were simply not good enough...and Romo, Witten, Ware are in that group. Your personal attacks on me must make you feel better about yourself, but you are wasting your time. You are not on my level.
Nahh he will draft him. You know how he likes to draft tight ends in the second round.
Dez's time in the league will more than likely end this spring. If he goes the entirety of 2021 without being on a league roster...Cowboys should let him know once you file for retirement from the NFL - your enshrinement in the ROH is eminent.
