Who saved the day when Locker threw the ball to Claiborne and it ended up on the ground?

It's amazing to me that we won this game in all phases (this is game 2 mind you) and every Cowboy medium you turn to is talking about how bad Tony looked. Yes this wasn't his A-game but this was far from the focal point of this win. I hope to God he gets back to playing up to his capabilities because its no fun winning and not being able to enjoy it with other "fans".

Really didn't mean this thread to be a knock on tony at all sportsbabe. More of an observation of how close these games are and how they turn on subtle unnoticed plays. That db strolls into the endzone and we are in a dogfight the rest of the day instead of an easy win

Agreed. The Cowboys just get a huge win, get contributions from all three phases in the process, and everybody wants to talk about the turnover that wasn't. It didn't happen, the Cowboys won, end of story. What if Demarco Murray didn't fumble thirty seconds into last week's game? Did 49er fans wonder about that seven days ago?

Like I've been saying, their are QB's we could be paying less than 1 mil a year playing better ball than tony.

Where do you people come from? What you hide under a rock until a player you don't like has a bad game and then start squealing? When Romo throws for 300 and 3 TDs you still going to be here and give him props?

Of course that question was rhetorical...we all know you'll be missing from the boards until the next bad game.

Probably will be overlooked but titans had scored and momentum seemed to switching sides. Tony floats a screen over Jason's head and the db picks the ball off and is about to stroll down the sideline into the end zone when witten reaches out and swats the ball out of his hands. Incomplete pass and game saved. I would not wanted to have tony try and overcome that . Small but huge play by Jason

huge play!!!

Nope , huge recovery, he is the one tipped it straight to the defender,as somebody said any other no.1TE in the league will come down with the ball, he has no vertical or speed , but he is still smart

Huh- I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
I love winning.

Y'all weren't saying this nonsense before Romo got hurt, I mean did you honestly expect the guy to be 100% by now?

In this game, he had a bad patch, but was accurate for the rest of the game. Makes me wonder what happened to him during the bad patch, where he was throwing low and high balls.

Of course, I know some are going to harp on the near-interception, but that's something that happens with most quarterbacks in most games. Locker would have had another if his guy hadn't knocked it out of the hands of Claiborne.

Agreed... Romo and his antics were determined to throw the game away

If Witten didn't totally fan on the block before he released then the guy wouldn't be right in Tony's face, forcing the high throw.

Good play nonetheless, but there are 3 or 4 things that could have been done differently to prevent ever being in that position.

I worry every times Witten reaches for a ball out of his reach. Half the time he tips it up, right to a defender. Thankfully, he was able to recover and prevent the catch this time.

Me too....he is so mechanical and doesn't do well when the ball is outside of his body

We can agree to disagree, if he is not tipping it it would have just sailed to ground, it won't be in the hands of defender. I'm not defending Romo

Teams have been waiting on these two for the past 4 seasons.

It was one of those wasteful 1 yard passes that could've costed us the game.

I must have missed that play but Jason had a solid game. That was good to see.
