Same move over and over...lets the d overrun. In the end of the third

I was with raiders fans in cali when he shook both of them to gain the first (burnett and sio??)

3 of them dropped their drinks and immediately started to cuss me out followed by....82 is the best tight end in football..

Sad day when this man hangs up the cleats

Wish he was faster and more athletic so we could be a more explosive offense.

But yeah... Witten is solid.

I'll admit when I saw the two defenders converge on him, I was positive he was going down well short of the marker.

You all were too, I'm sure. ;)

Absolutely. I saw that pass and groaned out loud. Witten well short of the marker with 2 defenders on him generally equals getting stopped short of a first down. When he did his cut back it looked like everything became Matrix-like. It was all slow motion with the two defenders saying "Nooooooooo..." as Witten ran by them. LOL
My dad, a huge Giants fan/Cowboys hater who will attempt to criticize/correct anything I say regarding football, immediately said "See?! He got it." As if it was obviously going to happen. I just shook my head saying "If you watch this offense every week, that type of pass doesn't usually get the first and Witten rarely jukes two guys out of their cleats..but who cares?! FIRST DOWN!" Thank God Dallas swept his pathetic vagiants, it really kept the Thanksgiving football nonsense to a minimum this year. Having said all that, I still didn't like that play but it worked out nicely.

The play that cracked me up was the touchdown to Witten late in the game. It was like several defenders were covering him in the end zone and had him blanketed, but he just stood still and all the defenders ran away from him leaving him wide open! lol

he looks like he's stuck in quicksand out there, but that move works time and time again haha

I don't care how much complaining or crying or anything people do about Witten. The guy is one of the best ever.

He's so slow, and blah blah blah. We see this garbage every week, every offseason, and yet all the guy does is go out there and catch passes all day long on people, get right at, or over 1000 yards, every year and continue to be a match up problem for people.

Pretty good for some slow, unathletic, past his prime by 3 years (if you listen to the experts here at the zone) TE.

He still runs like he has cinder blocks on his feet, but yah he can occasionally throw a juke. He added like 10 years of wear and tear when he made that one juke leading to a first down.

Good hands, good routes, just so darn slow! He's lost like 2-3 steps in the speed category, but he's still a reliable weapon.

Watching Witten in the open field is like watching Steven Hawking in a snow storm.

He looks like a lineman running routes. Great player in his prime and still great hands but not anything else at this point, unfortunately. Definate HOFer

Yup, the guy gets open because he has underrated athleticism and more importantly he's a smart player. His yards per reception aren't bad either, for all this supposed lack of athleticism he's above guys like Jordan Reed and Jordan Cameron.

I don't feel like Witten has significantly dropped off in athleticism. He may be a little slower, but it's not like he was ever stretching the field a la Gronkowski.

His YPC has pretty consistently been about 11 yards. Last year was an exception but it's back up this year.
