He just said on the post game show that they totally winged that play. I about spit out my drink laughing, it went great and all, but what a circus this team is if they have to resort to just making stuff on the field.

I'm so delirious from the shock and awe, I can only laugh at this point.

And in case anyone here misconstrues what I just wrote as a knock on Witten, it's absolutely no knock on him. HE IS THE ROCK AND STUD of this team. As far as I am concerned, he can do anything he wants because no one cares more or sheds more blood than him, The guy is incredible! If we only had 52 other players with half the heart and talent, we'd go places.

I'm with you on Witten being the rock of this team. He's the hard working guy that isn't flashy, plays injured, and never complains.

It also doesn't surprise me that they had to wing a play to get anything to work. Our offense is broken. Completely.

Of course they made it up on the field, no way ginger has enough creativity to call a pass like that.

That was a cute play, but we need to be more organized as an offense. It never seemed like we knew what we were doing from the QB to the OLine, to the Receivers, we just looked like we were running a new offense every week.

Like I said earlier, that one play embodied all that is good in Romo, Witten and TO. if we scored on that drive, it might have ignited something. Alas, it went the other way for six......

I know you don't believe that. All players complain, we just don't hear it cause they keep it behind closed doors.

I knew from the get go that the play was being made up on the fly, but it was on hell of a play....too bad the excitement didn't last long. :(

The cool thing about that play, at least to me, was the irony of it. Romo throwing the ball to Witten and then Witten throwing it to TO, after all the drama of the past month concerning Witten and TO it was just cool to see. Then Romo fumbled the ball...yet again...

What's sad was that this play could have ignited us to a deficit that would have been 27-17. Only halfway into the 3rd quarter. Pity our offense looked like our defense last Saturday. The way they cared for the ball looked like the tackling on that day.

True. I'm sure he has complaints, but you'd never know it.

I thought the same thing

Witten, DeMarcus Ware and Marion Barber are the only 3 guys with heart on this entire team. I may throw in Choice, because he is young, hungry, and has tons have talent. He doenst quit either. So 4 guys on this team have heart.

Im not suprised he winged it, Garrett isnt creative enough to make a tight end pass...haha you gotta be kidding me! Jason Garrett call a play where anyone OTHER THAN Romo throw the football, pshhhhh get outta here. Its not like Crayton played Quarterback in the past or anything. We couldnt design any plays to utilize that, nope, lets just stick with the basics. We dont want to get too creative, we want defenses to figure us out.....God, Jason Garrett is a joke and needs to be fired, immediately, he dragged this entire team down with him. Makes me sick

Yeah-it all but convinced me that their "near-altercation" a couple of weeks ago was nothing more than sensationalized BS on a slow news day.

Wow, our best play of the whole freaking game was drawn up in the dirt.

If that doesnt sum up the whole season, I dont know what does!!!

Eventually Witten and TO were going to catch a pass on the same play....:lmao:

Exactly. It was always funny to me that we always did better once the play broke down or if we were running the two minute offense. The less coaching involved, the better.

Interesting...

When my brother and I saw that play, we kind of looked at each other. He asked, "Do you think they meant to do that on that play?" I answered, "I think Romo and Witten just made that up." How right we were.

Everything about this team screams out POORLY COACHED. Why does Jerry refuse to accept that.

I agree 100%.

We should just go no huddle "k-gun" like Jim Kelley did with the Bills back in the day.

Just let Romo call all the plays at the line, it cant be any worse than our ******** OC.
