My goodness! I have never seen so many adults act as if they have never seen the Cowboys lay an egg before. Yeah, today sucked. I get it. But my goodness! Writing off the season after ONE GAME? Lol.

The defense today played really well. If not for the failure to spy Cam you could almost put them in the top 5 category. That's something to work with.

I don't think Fred will be out all year long. He will get better and this OL will gel. Meanwhile Looney is doing OK. Conner will get better with each snap.

Dak played badly today. The team couldn't overcome it, but we made a run late and showed signs of life.

Don't be such a pansy football fan. There are 15 more games and hopefully 3 or 4 more playoff games left for us to play.

I think it's just mainly people freaking out who for some reason expected great things this year. And also the people poking fun that didnt expect much lol.

the only "one game" piece of this is the unfounded optimism heading into the season. this is an extension of the issues last season, that were supposedly addressed. This isn't a vacuum

Maybe. But time will tell.

Don't you think we should play the other games and see what happens rather than just assuming we will lose them all?

i didn't expect great things this year. but i'm shocked that dak might not be the one. if that's the case it will be a huge setback for the franchise.

Ya I've been hoping he pans out but if not good thing were young lol.

naturally. it's just discouraging, especially as it's a continuation of the worst parts of last year. who knows how the season unfolds, but the first game was definitely panic inducing

This doesn’t really upset me because we’ve endured this brand of dysfunction for more than a couple of decades now. So I don’t know that woe is really in play here. I’m good with brutal honesty.

Some of these items will be corrected. Others will not and we’ll have to make due.

Our pass defense - in spots - appears to be better equipped to get off the field than in previous years. Cool! Dallas’ passing offense couldn’t be less threatening if they were tossing about lead balloons to defensive tackles calling them wide receivers. Don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Since this is a passing league, this poses a problem because we lack a credible counterpunch to the pound-a-Zeke approach and defenses know it.

Best of all, now you’re telling me this offensive line we’ve hitched our wagon to MUST be whole to be functional or even adequate? I think Travis will come around and play at some point, sure. But I couldn’t be sure Connor should be inside. I mean, he might be, but no one knows.

We will sustain injuries to important players. It’s a certainty. I don’t think this club has shown it handles that type of adversity well at all.

So yeah, some things will improve, but not all. I’m just so thankful the assistant coaches were purged because that’s gonna paying huge dividends, I can feel it!

People keep forgetting Garrett's best season started out with a loss week 1. The same things that was said then are being said now. Even the whole Zeke thing. We proceeded to win 11 straight after that. The big difference this time is we have a defense we can rely on.

If we got beat by a great Team and did good i understand your Point. But the Panthers were bad too. The only Thing they had was Cam running free and McCaffrey

But this Team, especially the Offense looked like a Highschool Team playing its first game ever. Dak seems like he cant develop into a good passer ever. The Offense is straight terrible, worst ive seen from all Teams. Even the Browns looked better. They arent giving me any confidence that they can score Points. They have 0 Playmakers bar Zeke and they dont even know how to use him. 15 Handoffs against a stacked box with two new guys on the O-Line will not win us games.

Putting the sugar on crapballs and thinking it is now chocolate.

Don’t worry guys. We won’t go 0-16. We’ll probably get as far away from a good draft pick without making the playoffs, which should keep us entertained into week 16. Don’t start the 2019 draft countdown just yet.

I can't for the life of me see how most of you didn't see this coming. The offense we saw yesterday was the same we saw for 4 pre-season games without Zeke and yesterday Zeke was helpless. We are entering the Quincy Carter 2.0 era and we don't have Parcells to figure it out.
What we have is no QB, no OL, no running game, no HC, no offensive coaching which equals the new NFL (Numerous Fricking Losses). By mid-season, we may displace the hapless Cleveland Browns as the worst team in the league. It's really sad for an old Cowboy fan like me to see how far and how fast we have fallen and the nightmare has just begun.

You're "shocked"? After last season, please tell me that's sarcasm.
Dak is 2nd string material, nothing more. Granted, the play calling sucked and the front line wasn't blocking as well as they could, but when he had opportunities, he blew them.

And we still don't have a GM good enough to sort it all out.
