Wonder if the lack of pre-season play impacted the offense being a bit out of sync

I think so ......remember this most of these guys first time seeing any live-action. I know some will say you can say the same for defense but that's a bit different. Either way, I'm guessing/hoping we will see a much outing next week.

Here's what Sirianni said about the Eagles offense.
“I’ll definitely reevaluate some of the preseason stuff next year,” Sirianni said in his postgame press conference. “You know, I know they played the first two years that we were here, they only played one series against the Jets in 2022. Maybe I should have played him a series or two this preseason, and I already wrote that in my notes. I’m constantly self-evaluating myself. And I’m not promising anything, and I know y’all will remember this conversation and play it, and that’s okay. But I have to — I’ll reevaluate that. You know, second thought, if I had to do it over again right now, I would say, yeah, I would have played starters one or two drives in the preseason. But next year will be a new thing with new situations and new everything, so I’m not worrying about that right now. I’m just got it in my notes to think about right now though.”

It could have been. It could have been the rainy conditions too plus they have a new offense. It was a little frustrating when we had to keep settling for FGs but on the plus side it was good to see Aubrey settle down. Hopefully the offense gets better as the season goes on.
I mean there were some good things.......OLine held up very well, as well as the running game. The passing game was just out of sync a bit.

Of course, it did. Also, it's going to take a couple of games for Big Mike to get into his playcalling rhythm.

Of course. That and the rain. Plus the Giants D has talent. 40-0. I will take it.

It has something to do with it, but it's apparent that they practiced enough to make it work. The Giants may have been too comfortable in what they did in preseason, and not practiced enough due to that. While the Cowboys had to practice to make up for the lack of preseason.

Remember, the Cowboys can still play against our own D in practice. That's probably why we're getting some of these injuries.

Week 1 is always about who is more prepared. I was impressed at how prepared BigMac had this Cowboys team. Probably learned from last year. The offense looked a bit spotty, but for the first full contact game, not so bad. The Giants don't have a crap D. Their front is pretty good.

I did not expect what happened last night at all. I never expected the Giants to be entirely dominated at home in week 1. It's a credit to our coaching staff that I rarely give credit to.

OR the torrential rain.

You people really are hilarious. Playing in a deluge or against the #1 Niners D in the NFL really dont even factor into the equation. LOL

Tell me, do you think the Cowboys D is going to confuse some good defenses and QB's this year?

The TEs killed some momentum of drives with drops. I like seeing Dak in a quick strike offense. The less time he takes to hold the ball the better. Let the Receivers do their thing after the catch.

Probably, but that's true for just about every team around the league.

I don't really think a series or two in preseason changes much anyway.

It was week 1. A lot of offenses were out of sync today.

The heavy rain also made it more difficult.

new offense, no playing time in preseason and rainy weather = unpolished performance

I want to see more out of the TEs. We throw to the TEs so much that we should be investing in them. I imagine how the offense would look if we had an elite TE. Other than that, the OL looked good, RBs looked solid, and Lamb is an All Pro.
