Wonder why we waiting to name new coaches?

So Campo is gone. Finally. Now what about Houck? If I recall, Jerry said about a week ago that it would be 2-3 weeks before coaching staff was discussed. Most of us assume Garrett interested in 1-2 coaches who currently work for a playoff team. Wonder if surprise loss by Steelers will effect any decision. OTOH: Garrett might be interested in Giants/Packer coaches; after all we did grab Packers' WR coach & Garrett ties to Giants might mean we targetting their OL coach or even their LB coach.

coaches contracts are not up until the new league year startrs which is March.
So we can not sign any coach until then unless it's for a promotion job.

Take Jerome Henderson the secondary coach for Celevland. His contract is up in March but we can not contact him to be our new Secondary coach until March when he will be a free agent. We have plenty of time.
Now we can ask the browns to let us talk to him but they can still decline until March.

With other coaching changes taking place and the domino effect that will cause I'm sure Garrett and Ryan are weighing their options of coaches they would like to add. No need to rush it

Season isn't over yet. Why name coaches now if all the the coaching options aren't even available until the season is complete?

Don't assistant coaches contracts run through a specific date rather than the end of the teams' season? I know the Raiders presently have an issue where guys were told they wouldn't be back ... but they are required to work the remainder of their contract. If that is the case then one answer is that they aren't available yet

Jerry's #1 concern is up holding/building the image of the Dallas Cowboys rather than building a team. And at that, Jerry is forever trying to recreate the early-90s. He needs to move on and have a legitimate rebuilding season or two. But that doesn't sell tickets or merchandise.

Other than a couple of Head Coaches named, what team is announcing new assistant coaches? There are a lot of rumors, but announcements?

I mean, I get it that every year people want us to grab every name on the wire, but I still don't get it. Microwave popcorn strikes again.

2007. SB is 2/4. Wade Phillips announced as coach on 2/8.

2011. SB is 2/6. Jason Garrett announced as HC 1/6.
