I'd figure since it's in theater's and HBO Max it could use its own topic. About to start it up myself. I think its really cool Warner Brothers is doing this, but they seem to be in trouble with their future releases. Im all about the theater experience, but it is awesome laying back at home and watching these beauties in pj's lol. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Zoners!

No grade. Just an emotional minute-by-minute rollercoaster assessment.

0:00:00 - 0:11:00 I love Patty Jenkins!
0:11:01 - 0:17:19 I still love Patty Jenkins but I am starting to worry
0:17:20 - 0:35:24 I am starting to loathe Patty Jenkins
0:35:25 - 0:44:57 The Mandalorian is pissing me off
0:44:58 - 1:06:53 Began cussing Patty Jenkins name mostly but gradually eased up a couple of minutes before...
1:06:54 - 1:46:59 I fall in love with Patty Jenkins again but The Mandalorian is still pissing me off
1:47:00 - 2:25:31
WONDER WOMAN FLIES OR GLIDES! I DON'T CARE! IT IS FANTASTIC EITHER WAY! THANK YOU PATTY JENKINS!
2:25:32 - 2:26:24 Weird looking end credits start rolling but waiting in anticipation of a cut scene...
2:26:25 - 2:27:16 Do. Not. Miss. The. Cut. Scene. You have been warned.

The rest is credits.

I will likely watch it again and see if I was being too critical for my sake but I do not put the sequel at the original's level.

Need other members' opinion after watching the movie. Does anyone think Steve Trevor should have been brought back? My opinion? No. I think the movie's course was altered too much because of the character's reintroduction.

I just want to know if Gal showed off the goods. My viewing of the movie will be based on the replies
Oh, you want "Wonder Woman Does Dallas".

I agree with IMDB, MetaCritic and Rotten Tomatoes pretty much.

The thing I love most about WW84 is that Patty Jenkins removed all doubt that this particular 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice scene:

Any previous debate or speculation has been dismissed. Now the audience knows the character FLEW in to save Batman instead of possibly 'Hulk jumping' from the airport to get there in the nick of time.

Wow that is a loud cover, thought it was a bad 80s vhs title or something. I liked the first one, Gal is a pretty lady, I could see some of the appeal being lost not being in the theatres with all the cgi and 3d audio stuff. Movie Theaters were getting way too greedy as middle men over the years and am glad they're feeling it now...maybe bring those prices back to reality in the future.

The genie is now out of the bottle. Mainstream, in particular "blockbuster" films, are being delivered straight to the consumer via streaming. Theater chains will be innovative but how well they can contain operating costs and capture profits will be severely tested now.

That said, Hollywood studios will still depend on theater release to garner the most return on investment on movies. The pressure will be on streaming services to deliver a more competitive bottom line after times normalize.

I don't see how they can tbh but could see it if they revamped the food and beverage angle. "All about our audience members mantra type thing going forward" could get us back in there over time. Kind of like McDonald's and Dominos did awhile back, "we messed up, we own it, but now it's good again".

I get that theater chains will still be a date night and a teen haven but most adults will never go back outside of pressure from their kids. It really was just a highway robbery scheme to get us to pay $50 for candy and popcorn I guess to pay back those production companies. Get those prices to something reasonable or better alternatives (like the places with good food, etc.) and could see it being attractive again.

"what exactly do you do here?" definitely comes to mind for that industry...it was time for that racket to be squeezed esp with a lot of people's home TVs being just as good as the theaters (for the most part).

I thought it was God awful. 80s style mall scene was pretty cool, all downhill from there.

Cheetah - Basic ripoff of the same character we have seen before. Catwoman, Poison Ivey, Electro in Amazing Spiderman 2. Basically adds nothing to the movie except to serve as a physical nemesis to WW. They could have cut her storyline completely out of the movie and it would have changed nothing. Terrible CGI in the final fight scene.
Steve Trevor - Magic Geenie man can make a wall appear out of nothing, but for some reason, Steve has to take someone else's body. Wonder Woman rapes the man and puts his life in danger multiple times. What happened to his life the week or so we was gone? I assume he had some sort of life where people were wondering what was going on?
Invisible Jet - WWI prop pilot who is amazing by an escalator is suddenly going to hop in a fully fueled swept wing jet aircraft that can magically go from DC to Cairo non-stop. *** is this?
Plot - Way too boring and convoluted. They took the fish out of water story from the first one and turned it around. It didn't work.

Pedro Pascal was good.

I've been pirating movies for years, but I still went to the theater a lot pre-covid. Something about seeing a movie on a big screen with big speakers in a crowd is something you can't replicate at home. I have decent sized TV and surround sound system, but still prefer the theater experience.

Pedro Pascal was good.
In my opinion, Pascal was so way over the top that his performance was ridiculously comical. For me, it hurt seeing him in that light because I have a lot of respect for his work in his The Mandalorian television series.
