This should not surprise anyone.
It would surprise me a little bit. I think the Titans made out pretty well in that trade. They could turn it into a lot of great players. Why give a majority of that up?
If the Titans think Tunsil is the best tackle in the draft, by a wide margin, I guess the Titans could justify it by saying we got the player we wanted and got some bonus picks to boot. But if they viewed it that way they probably wouldn't have risked losing him in the first place in a trade down.
If they grade Stanley close to the grade they have on Tunsil, then they may trade back up for Stanley for reduced compensation. My guess is thatthey have Tunsil and Stanley and maybe another OT pretty close together and are hoping one of them falls a little bit.
If they really, really love Tunsil, I'm not sure why they would trade down that far since really most of the teams in the top 10 (other than Dallas, and maybe Cleveland ) really need an OT.
