That's what some people say, but meh. Like I said in an earlier post, you can find pundits for every supplement.

Creatine is most certainly essential if you're bulking up, brother. You want as little lactic acid in your body as possible.

Thanks, am going to workout tomorrow and already got me a nice supply of Creatine, Tuna Salad, and Chicken ready.

Awesome, brother. I'll send you an excellent, not-too-difficult, routine sometime mañana. Use it for three weeks, then I'll send you a new one. You're gonna want to change your workout every 2-3 weeks to beat a plateau. Your first 6 months or so you're gonna hit extraordinary gains. It really becomes important to trick the mind after that time frame.

And legs, legs, legs! And abs, abs, abs! So many people skip these core workouts because they're "not fun" :)

I do have nice calves but my thighs/hamstrings need a little work. Do plan on start running again as well. As far as the abs as long as I cut down on the cake/pizza that will take care of itself.

I would swear by BCAA's if it worked for me, but most of my fitness friends go that route. I am 6'2", 176 and have been around that size since high school. In mid-forties now.

I have had many coaches try to bulk me up and every plan has failed, even lost pounds on a few programs. I have long since given up on adding more muscle. I can eat whatever I want and gain nothing :(

Over the years, the only fat I have gained is a bit in the abdomen(from alcohol) which is barely noticeable. I want to tone up some more but it seems my metabolism won't allow me.

I might try one more time but it will be pointless.........

How you workout (strength vs size), diet and sleep will dictate your muscle growth. You can definitely put on muscle, lose weight and gain strength in your 40s so do not let the stop you from working out.

bump for sup comment :)

This week post workout meal has been 1/2 cup oats and 1 scoop of flavored whey protein. I have "Milk and Cookies" and "Cinnamon Roll".

Boil oats 5 min with a dash of salt. Afterwards take off burner and mix in 1 scoop of your flavored whey. No sugar added, clean and tastes good.
