...if you have ever sat in the commuter Airbus or Enbraer planes that seat looks like a King's throne.

I believer those seats recline with a footrest that pops out. If the stewardesses are friendly that looks like a great seat to me.

I've got a flying horror story about being in the middle seat.

It could be for some but for many, who don't like being close to a total stranger, it could be a perfect seat for him/her, I would love to be in that seat. I know human factor team has spent lot of hours min/max of 95 percentile to help with layout design.

Also, the layout could be easily reconfigured if an airline prefers different layout to add a seat or two.

As a person who is responsible for that kind of stuff, I completely agree. But like Yeager said, I am bias. Building aircraft from the ground up is really something to see and a gigantic under taking.

Used on rotary during the opening days of OIF1 as well as in Afghanistan. Lining the leading edge of the blades helped drastically reduce wear in the high-abrasive environments.
