Hurts has been bad. A lot of people on this site said he’d struggle. It’s still early but I did not see this.

Teams are daring them to run…..Pats and Vikings both played him the same way and teams will follow.

It’s also worth noting he started off slow last year too. There’s still time. I just thought I’d see a progression…
last year he had like 600 yards passing and 150 yds rushing through 2 games lol. i think he's a talented dude on a great team, but last year was probably an outlier

He will have a hard time replicating last year's performance. I imagine it was kind of one of those perfect storm seasons.

Hurts will likely be solid-good the rest of his career, but the MVP caliber season he had last year was predicated on a very unique offense that defenses have had a year to study.
This. When people (me) say they think he'll regress it's mostly because last year is just not sustainable.

I’m referring to the stretch where he didn’t have over 200 yards for a few games. He’s had these stretches before. I think he will get things going especially against the lower tier defenses.

Adjusted EPA???!! OMG! It's a deal breaker. Eagles should release Hurts today.

gotcha. even in those games his running typically made up the difference, and he didn’t start off slow is my point. So this is what I expected. You could be right and he catches fire again, but until then …

So what's the deal with Pickett.

Never really watched him, just know he was a first rounder that has sucked so far. And IIRC he has small hands or something.

His OC is awful but he hasn't done much either

I believe that Hurts is capable of being solid enough to still be a top 10-15 QB this season. But also believe that some were premature to list him as the 2nd or 3rd best QB in the NFL after just one good season from him. And don't think he'll get back to playing on the level he played last season.

I think it’s more like Dak in 2016, when he played great running an offense tailored and shrunk to his abilities. He also ran a fair amount and had a stacked team around him. Hurtz was same last year.
I think the Hurtz you see now is closer to the real than last year, same for Dak vs 2016.

Burrow is playing hurt. Several rookies on there. Weird, Stroud nearly had a 400 yard game.
No excuses for Lawrence or Hurtz.
The rest we kinda expected.

Looks like the golden boy hurts is struggling a bit :muttley:

Do you know the defense Pickens has played against the first two weeks?

SF and Cleveland. SF is top 2 or 3 and Cleveland was great last night. He literally had almost no time to throw. I watched the entire game as Picket the WR is on my fantasy team.

Big problem for Pickens is his Oline might be the worst pass blocking line in the NFL.

Once they get an Oline in Pitt, that will be a SB contender.

Gonna disagree slightly there. I don't think he had a stacked team and surely not as stacked as this Eagles team. He has probably a top 5 tight end, the best receiver duo in the league, best offensive line the league.....not sure about defense yet but they have potential to be top 5 there too. Personnel wise Hurts has it better than anyone in the league or should. Its why I said he wouldn't' see a tail off. His receivers are too good.

What i've seen from Hurts though is he seems scared for some reason. He doesn't like what he sees so he doesn't know what to do. I've heard people say he's put on weight....he looks the same to me but not sure if its good weight or bad weight but he doesn't look out of shape but he's playing like it. A little more sluggish.

But its worth noting he saw some looks he's never seen before and while Vikings defense sucks as proof they can't stop the run Flores comes from the Bellicheat tree and Bellicheat is the other defense he struggled with. Probably not a coincidence he struggled.

If hurts was not a running qb how good would he be. It’s his 4th year he has already ran more than Dak has for going into his 8th year. I am on here all the time wanting Dak to rum more. I only mean as much as he did his first 4 years. Around 350-400 yards a year. That’s just enough to keep defenses guessing.

Well hurts also runs twice as much as Dak. Their first year was fairly even. After that hurts went crazy and is increasing his carrys every year. Now we both know at some point the shoe is gonna drop. Right on hurts. Running qbs, I mean true running qbs don’t last. And they just paid him. Wonder if there is a clause in his contract for injury. He is averaging 10 runs a game. And on pace for the same. Any team that can contain him in the pocket will make a rough day for egirls. Easier said than done. We have let qbs step up and not getting them contained for a while. We need to work on that. To many people rushing up field. Need to adjust the assignments for running qbs.

that is meaningless, there are a variety of factors involved, including who they had to play, who was playing etc.
For example, would zach have such a bad rating if he played the cowboys say week 6? I doubt it.
2 games wont tell u anything lol.
