DMX: "Up in Here" Got played OUT and every movie/commercial seemed to use it to give itself "edge." Exhausting song. "Thong Song"

Just thought of another one that made me cringe...

"Lovers and friends" Lil Jon, Usher and Ludacris.

Cheesiest sounding song ever with a hilarious verse by Lil Jon... I don't understand how this song was on the radio. Unless it was satire and I missed it.

Worst by far. It's terrible.

Not all of it. Just depends on what you're into music wise. Like I still listen to Linkin Park and Chevelle etc... But I don't really care for the "Hip-Hop" these days with maybe the exception of Eminem. There are no real "poets" like 2pac. I think R&B of the 90's and early 00's was good. Around that time you also had a pretty good mix of the "punk bands" that turned "pop" and took it to crap. Now we've got this hipster crap and wannabe musicians that can't sing outside a studio. I do see country music on a huge up swing among younger people now with how there is more "rock" feel to a lot of the country now. Just my 2 pennies

There is actually a lot of good Hip Hop that same out after the millennium, its just not popular: Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Q-unique, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Cage, Akir, Immortal Technique, & Eyedea & Abilities are some to check out.

As far as rock, I'm buying anything the Deftones puts out, Muse has released some really good stuff, The Strokes, Killers, Bravery, Indy rock stuff is great.

There is a lot of good music, just way more bad which get most of the play for some reason.

So wait... are we saying that we are still in the 2000s?

I assumed we were talking 2000-2010.

It's 4 years after that. Obvious, but weird to think about. I, myself, don't think of 2014 being the equivalent of 1994 in a new decade. Still feels like the Y2K panic was just a few years ago.
