Would A Full Offseason Have Made A Difference?

If we had a full regular off season, mini camps, full training camp and no distractions, would the oline have jelled sooner?

Would Dez be more comfortable in his role?

Would Romo have a better relationship with all his WRs? (Laurent Robinson exception)?

Would the Defense be tighter and not subject to being gashed the way we are from time to time?

Would the extra time benefited Ryan and the defense and made a big difference overall?

Or are we what our record says we are? A mediocre team who needs a lot of improvement?

Every team in the league was at a similar disadvantage. Garrett has been here 5 years with this core, and Rob's D has looked consistently better even though he's the new coach on board.

Plus, it's not like we have a new regime coming in like the Niners had, and yet the Niners are doing much better with no significant roster changes compared to their awful team last year.

The excuses for Garrett are starting to run thin. He has been exposed over and over again since his one good season in 2007, and his coaching has cost us at least two victories this season. Even a pee wee coach would have been able to maintain a 24 point lead in that Lions game. The situational coaching has been atrocious and we're below .500 bc of it.

People can try to blame the players all they want, but it's not like we are going to be able to acquire 50 pro bowlers just to hide coaching deficiencies. The Niners should be evidence enough for people to want Garrett out of here.

Yes, teams with the most changes are the ones most affected by the lockout.

Other than Quarterback, OL is the most difficult area to insert 1st and 2nd year players.

hmmm maybe not the MOST difficult area but it sure is difficult. DL is definitely up there. and of course teams with the most changes are the ones who are most affected, makes sense

Nothing but AN EXCUSE. Every team was in the same boat.
Shoot, Harbaugh does not seem to be using that as an excuse.

The fact of the matter is the Head Coach needs to call better games, especially in the redzone and 4th qtr, and the QB needs to stop making bone head plays but still be aggressive.

how anyone can see what Harbaugh has done and then use the offseason as an excuse is just sad.

NO question. OL and defense would both have been better going into the season.
