Would any positions drafted in the 1st make you livid and why

I really want Jalen Ramsey or Jaylon Smith, but only a few positions would infuriate me:

OL- That would just be ridiculous
TE- He won't play till Witten retires (prob 2 more full seasons)
DL- Even if you don't resign Hardy (which I think they will) you still have Lawrence & Gregory, you just paid Crawford, and a fat 1T can be had later on

Of these positions, TE is the only one I don't want to see drafted in any round.

If you are talking about us staying at our current selection and no trade downs:

I would be upset with a QB, RB, TE, WR, OG, OC, or DT. I don't believe there are any players at those positions that warrant a top 5 selection.

I would be ok with a DE, OT, LB, CB/S as those are the positions of the top 6 or 7 players in the draft in my opinion.

This team needs impact players at nearly every position. I'd be upset at K, P, FB (obviously). I'd also be annoyed at OG or TE. I feel fine with these positions.

I could understand if they took another OT if they don't like what they see in Green, but I highly doubt they go that direction. Our OL should be pretty much set at this point.

This team could justifiably add a DT, DE, LB, S, CB, RB, WR, or QB at some point in the draft.

If we don't trade down and stay put in the top 7, I think it'd be hard to justify a S, WR, DT, or RB at that pick.

So, for me, that leaves DE, LB, QB, CB.

I don't see anyone at DE outside of Bosa worth that pick. I'm not a fan of going CB that high in the draft.

QB, LB, or Bosa, IMO.

Eliminating DL is absolute craziness, especially if Hardy leaves. Hell, saying no to a potential pro bowl OL is stupid too. Having a dominant line on either side of the ball is never going to be problem

When you are picking in the top 5 you have to hit, doesn't matter the position. My gut tells me to stay away from RB and LB though as both positions are routinely filled with middle to late round picks.

I would love a pro bowl RT but when it comes down to it you can't pay 4-5 pro bowl players at one position and expect to be decent anywhere else

You have to look at the value of a rookie contract (its cheap) and the four premium positions. QB: Could easily be the pick. LT: Wont be the pick. Pass rush: I dont know that Bosa is a sure thing and he is more of a LDE, there is nobody else top 5 pass rush. CB: Hargreaves with an outside possibility of Ramsey are highly likely to be the pick. I dont think you will end upset because it will likely be one of these four positions and they could really use help at three of em.

TE in the first 3 rounds would break my heart but they seem to love the position so I'm sure they'll be strongly considering it. Witten is going nowhere, he will keep starting, maybe for another 5 years as long as he doesn't have any injuries. Even as his skills decline, it won't be easy unseating him as the starter.

Hunter Henry is one TE that would justify taking in the 2nd round.

Trade down or pick the best player available. They are the only 2 options with a top 5 pick in my opinion. Position of need shouldn't even be in the thought process.

Jaylon Smith is worth a top 5.

From what I've watched so far I'll disagree with you...wouldn't be the worst pick in the world, but there are other LB's in this draft class that are really good players. Just not as athletic as Smith.

I don't see any positions out of the realistic options that would be a bad pick. OL has been addressed like crazy, so maybe skipping that this year would be advisable. I'm a touch skittish on the DBs, but I have not paid them a lot of attention to this point so I may feel better once I get more educated on them.

TE - as long as Witten has a pulse TE any earlier than 5th would be a complete waste....
