Would doubling Julio hurt the integrity of the defense?

I ask because I'm just curious why we rarely double other team's best wideouts.

After that drop last night, you just know Julio's going to want to show out next week. I'd rather anybody else beat us.

Can't commit too much and leave us short on tackles for their running backs.

I just don't understand their record with the firepower they still have... I mean if an oc makes that much of a difference how much more untapped potential is in our offense

I can assure you we weren't singling up on Tyreek Hill very often. I'm sure there was safety help over the top. Julio is likely to get the same treatment for as long as the other guys can take care of everything else.

Doesn’t base cover 2 prevent massive plays downfield? Rarely do we get beat deep.

Don’t think they have any TEs to really expose the middle of the field either.

Very few WRs are legitimately double covered. Typically DCs will rotate coverages their way and obviously any single-high safety is going to be watching Jones' side. If I remember correctly, when we shut them down last year, they switched up personnel throughout the game and did a good job of making contact with him around the LOS and having our SS as a lurk/hole defender to muddy up the middle of the field. The pass rush also dominated, though.

Maybe we do but we're more subtle about it compared to other teams. I'd like to take him completely out of the game with a safety over top and a linebacker shading to his side all game. Is that feasible or would that screw up Marinelli's scheme?

Julio needs someone who will be physical with him but has the speed to stay with him. Chido would be the closest
