Would it be best to extend Pollard now or wait?

If we followed that rule, no Emmitt, no TonyD and no Zeke.

pass.

It’s not all about speed. Gotta be a warrior.

like Zeke was last season.
Yeah, but the game has changed quite a bit since Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith were playing. The passing game has become the centerpiece of NFL offense.

Plus you can acquire young, talented RBs in the draft and utilize them on a rookie contract and save loads of cap space. That’s the blueprint most teams follow now.

I would be against keeping Zeke beyond this year. And even if we were to sign Pollard to an extension, he’s not built to be a workhorse type back. He’s realistically good for about 8-10 carries a game plus a few receptions in the passing game. He a specialist type back who can do a lot of good things but he can’t carry this running game alone.

I would love to see Pollard paired with a talented 2nd or 3rd round rookie RB next year.

BTW.......just on paid site, Tony Pollard is attending RB AND WR meetings. Not hearsay, directly from one of the coaches.
