Of all those guys, I would want Osa the most but I have serious doubts the Jones are willing to pay market price. Dowdle will cost too much. He has probably priced himself out of Dallas and although I like Rico I’m not thrilled with idea of paying him more to be a part timer. Lawson probably has the best chance of staying IMO.Carl Lawson a nice vet rotational at edge seemed to deliver consistent pressure and his ex Jet positional coach now in Dallas speaks highly of having coached him in NY .
Eric Kendrick’s again a smart vet knows his position and seems to make the younger LB’s better to have him in the middle . Seems to always be in the center of turnovers .
Rico Dowdle almost 1100 yards as an UDFA playing and running behind a young inconsistent OL . Dowdle had better pass catching skils then I thought he had having seen so little of him until 2024 .
When I hear 20 million per for OSA thrown around I’m of the opinion get a quality DT on a rookie contract in the draft instead .
The three FA I mentioned should be affordable and allow you to stretch the 10 draft picks in the deck of cards further .
When using free agency to shore up holes is not an option, you almost smother your draft with too many needs making the draft become a pressure cooker for every single roster need we have. It’s bad front office practice.think they need Lewis and Osa back. But I feel like OSA will cost too much for Jerry who will not even make an attempt to re-sign him.
I worry even Golston will cost more than Jerry will pay. We will go into the 2025 draft with so many areas of need, and desperation, the will botch the draft again.
True, but do you really want to use an additional draft pick on a RB on day 3?Because 2 drafted RBs are cheaper than Dowdle at $5-6M.
It all depends, Rico could price himself out, and I'm not going to overvalued Rico either. We'll see how it plays out, but all options should be on the table. Y'all clinging to Rico mighty hard and it's not that serious.True, but do you really want to use an additional draft pick on a RB on day 3?
Sign Dowdle and draft a RB on day 2 and call it good.

Truth

Cowboys have no biz trading up. If anything they should trade down and get 3 picks on day 2.The 10 draft picks Dallas has if not used to trade up seven should be spent on defense so drafting two RB’s makes little sense.
5th rounders aren’t going to equal Kendrick’s . Plus a LB in first or second round that’s how thin this position is .
I hear posters say draft 2 RB ? Why ? Draft one plus for 5-6 million bring Dowdle back .
Agree and I’d add Gholston since we are losing Osa abd was this a DT all year last yearCarl Lawson a nice vet rotational at edge seemed to deliver consistent pressure and his ex Jet positional coach now in Dallas speaks highly of having coached him in NY .

...I agree. Also bringing back Osa would benefit well.Carl Lawson a nice vet rotational at edge seemed to deliver consistent pressure and his ex Jet positional coach now in Dallas speaks highly of having coached him in NY .

From those, at least 7 should be on D.
Wash, what you think about Dillion Gabriel? My thought was trying to climb back to round 4 grab either Kyle McCord or Will Howard , Dallas desperately needs a young QB to develop possibly challenge Dak in 26
