Would losing to the Commanders be a bad thing?

I know the title sounds absurd, but maybe it would force Garrett to make changes to the roster he has been reluctant to make. Jason is very quick to churn the bottom of the roster, but I think it is clear to anyone who has watched the Cowboys this season it is the top of the roster that needs the churning.

If Garrett can't beat the next 2 teams I have to believe that he's not the answer at HC. Gotta beat the teams you're better than, especially at home.

I don't know about you, but I'm sick of losing.

I think it depends on how well the Commanders play, but unless they catch fire I fully expect this team to win and if they don't (as long as the Skins don't catch fire), then we still have major problems on this team and I don't see turning over the roster with current players on the team changing anything.

Getting a 4th place schedule for what it's worth given it only effects two games would be nice, but hell, I want to finish 6-10.

4th place schedule means we play Detroit and Carolina as opposed to Minnesota and Tampa Bay. Neither is a huge difference over the other. Carolina blows, but with a new coach, a new QB (Andrew Luck) I can see them being competitive. If Matthew Stafford stays healthy, then Detroit will be better than Minnesota

we went from 1-7 and a total write off of the season. people were harping on a high draft pick.

garrett comes along and in short order does what many consider a world of magic with what wade had.

there is no "quick fix" in the NFL and to base it off a few games at the end of a season when many wrote that same season off at the 1/2 way point is stupid and a bright red light about what is wrong with the average fan.

we don't win today, we suck. start over.

garrett has earned his time and the IGS really needs to chill out.

No, it would not be a bad thing.

It is all about higher draft position and evaluating young players now.

Davis, Columbo, Newman, Barber, Brooking will be gone. Those 5 shouldn't even be active.

Sensabaugh, Kosier, and Hurd will probably leave.

Before the draft, the Cowboys need to know what they have on the roster right now. Young, Church, McCann, Costa, LB Williams.

Higher draft position would also mean more potential trade value.

The way the NFL is these days who knows how any of these teams may do. I don't think many felt KC was be leading their division and the Raiders are right up there with them or Jacksonville would be leading theirs and I did not see many predicting Chicago on top of theirs.

I think Garrett should go back in time and bench Kitna for McGee and play every other second and third stringer under the sun. Guys like Ware and Ratliff should sit too. Why should Miles Austin steal reps away from Hurd? Know what I mean? Then Garrett can be 0-5 right now instead of 3-2 and the board can be compalining about what a duffas-coach he is and calling for his immediate firing.

Go Commanders!

We'll smoke the skins, I'd say us by 17 at least.

I actually want Garrett to be the HC, but right now he's 3-2, if he finishes the season 3-5, losing 4 straight why would you give him the job? I don't expect him to beat good teams, and he has beaten some, but finishing the year with 3 losses makes me believe that the team didn't respond to him, just to the coaching change

While I don't think it will happen and surely not hoping for it, if the team laid an egg, wade style the last 3 weeks then there's no reason to stick with Garrett

I agree, all the more reason why we should win. who knows who will be good/bad for the 2 games our record control

Whenever we play the skins I never assume one team is better than the other. No matter how good we are or how bad they are it's going to be a dog fight.

first of all, i expect him to do well in those games. but again, the very reason you can be so demanding NOW is because garrett has put that HOPE back into the team.

we were all pretty suicidal at 1-7 and all we asked of garrett was to make us competitive again.

now it's bust out a winning streak.

like i said, fans are fickle and their minds change with the wind. garrett had the same team that went 1-7 and has done a lot in short order.

the downside to that is raised expectations and demands once he already exceeded what we hoped he could do.

Unless we get absolutely blown out the next three games, Jerry is going to make Garrett the head coach. It has been his plan for years now, and I don't think a couple of games at the end of a dead end season is going to change that.
