IMO we should get W.Moss, I do think that D.Capers might have hinted that to Garrett and maybe that's causing the wait. If Rob Ryan is who we end up signing I think it'll lead to D.Capers coming here because of the fact that Ryan would probably get a HC offer next year and Capers would be free because his contract runs up in 2011. Any possibilities? Or am I reaching?

Way reaching................

Capers will get another shot a HC job before Ryan. I think that's why our next DC will be Moss. Capers and Garrett are buddies, Capers isn't going to come here for a year and then leave to take a HC job and leave his buddy in the same boat he is in now.

All the talk is how good the Packers defense is which brings up Capers name.

If he comes here and our defense does a complete 180, then it will again bring up Capers name = which will result in coaching interviews next year.

Winston Moss is the next Dallas Cowboys Defensive Coordinator.

If there is a chance of getting capers, now or down the road...you keep on reaching buddy...keep reaching for the stars and I will support you. :)

IMO if the Jets make it to the SB this year, or even beat NE this weekend, Rob Ryan will be a hot commodity for HC. Teams will see Rex's success and his brash personality and want to see if Rob can emulate that.

I also think that maybe, just maybe, GB puts Winston in as DC next year and Capers comes here.

We are all guessing at this point, but at least it's not boring around here!!!

Is Capers made of gold or something? Is he like 300 ft. tall?

I still think there has to be some hesitation in turning a defense over to an unknown, unproven coach. I think Garrett would much prefer to have the experience at defensive coordinator: someone who has called plays before.

Yes and he likes us to wave palms at his feet to cool them.

I totally agree. The honeymoon is over for Garrett. Every decision he makes going forward will be put under a microscope. If he makes the right choices he will be looked at as a God. If he makes the wrong decisions the "chosen one" will be ran out of town very quickly.

Don't really see why people want Moss. Never been a defensive coordinator and I really don't see how he is a disciple of Capers. He never played for him during his playing career and also was hired by Mike MCCarthy not Capers.

Rob Ryan, as much as he says he is the best coach in the NFL bar none, is not going to get a HC job anytime soon.

His track record does not portray him as a guy who is a "winner".

I don't think Ryan will be a HC anytime soon either, but Capers has been a head coach twice, and he's in his 60s, so I do think he will get another opportunity.

we understand your position from the other 42 posts in the rob ryan thread. egomaniac, not sure he can blend with garrett, loose cannon. we get it. relax.

I know this is a reach and this guy is inexperinced coaching right now but the name floating in my head for a few months is Kevin Greene. Played for Capers in Pittsburgh, followed him to Carolina and had a monster career. Did an intership last year in GB and this year is the LBs coach. I'm just loving his progression and i think he'll be good candidate in a few years. Would love for Capers to come here and perhaps Greene take over in a few years. Sorry. Just thinking outside the box a bit.

But you "like" him anyway, right? Pull up your pants Paula, your agenda is showing.
