Would the Steelers winning #6 be a good thing?

I am just thinking, maybe the one thing that could make Jerry Jones really back off, and get a real coach in here, and maybe even consider the possibility of a GM and letting some real football guys run this team would be for the Steelers to be the first team to win 6 Super Bowls.

While the 49ers and Steelers are also 5 time Super Bowl winners, Jerry can always keep doing things as usual and brag about how the Cowboys also have 5 Super Bowl wins. So I am thinking, if the Steelers win #6 this year, is this one thing that could give Jerry a kick in the butt? Maybe make him back off and get some real football guys in here so he could seriously make a run at #6 and try to be the 1st to win #7????

I am beginning to think that maybe it will take either the Steelers or 49ers winning #6 before the Cowboys to get Jerry take a back seat and let the real football guys do their magic. Because once a team gets #6, the Cowboys are no longer at least tied for most Super Bowl wins. Once that happens, maybe this is what is needed for another Dallas dynasty to come. I am not sure how Jerry's ego could take Steelers 6 Time Super Bowl champs and them being #1 on Super Bowl wins. Maybe, just maybe a Steeler Super Bowl win could be the big thing to getting Jerry to back off and get a GM or Coach in here that can make the talent on this team hit its peak and win 2 or 3 Super Bowls.

And I seriously doubt he gives a flying crap about the Steelers organization. Nor should he. For all the media love over them, all they have is that one championship that clearly is tainted by awful offiating since 1979. Thats 1 in 30 yrs for the "great" Steelers organization.

And you see, your reaction would be nothing compared to how Jerry would react at having to be #2 and another team being one up on the Cowboys. This is why I am sayin that maybe this is the one thing that could get Jerry to back off and get some real football guys to run the Cowboys so he could catch the Steelers and then have the Cowboys be the first to win #7. Maybe a Steeler Super Bowl win would be the kick in the butt Jerry needs to finally realize he needs football guys running the Cowboys, not him.

I hate to say it, but you are right. Jerry's infinite sized ego comes first, and the Cowboys are a very distant second compared to Jerry's ego. As long as Jerry gets media coverage and camera time nothing else matters.

I do question Jerry's will to win. If he really cared about winning, he would hire a football guy for GM and take a back seat and do what most other owners do, write out the paychecks and let the GM do the football work. Jerry puts his ego and being in the media spotlight way above the Cowboys and winning, don't think otherwise.

Didnt Jerry already do this???

Didnt he back off and let Tuna run the show for 4 years???

How many playoff games did we win under Tuna when Jerry backed off.........about the same number as Cupcake???

So why would you think Jerry backing off and hiring Holmgreen or somebody else to be "acting GM" would help us win any quicker when the first time Jerry did it, nothing changed.............we still have no playoff wins.
