Would this be considered a fail?

Obviously Dallas has huge needs on offense. I hate how Dallas is going into a draft with such massive needs. I don’t expect Dallas to do this but what happens if they stay put and each of their first 3 picks are where defensive players are the clear best player. For instance:

Round 1- Jordan Davis/devonte Wyatt- btw what is going on with Wyatt? Just two weeks ago he was mostly in the teens. Now in a lot of mocks he is out of the first. Is he really a bad dude or just mock draft group think?

round 2- nakobi Dean/Daxton Hill

round 3- sam Williams or some other defensive player

obviously Dallas doesn’t fix any of their massive offensive holes but you can argue that they should worry about getting the best blue chip prospects
First.

I would assume most would really disagree with that draft here.

that'd be awesome.
jordan davis fixes our run defense the second he puts the hat on.
fixed.
dean would be a great pardner for micah.
THE LION AND THE DAWG!!!!!
sam williams would be a great get at de.
no complaints from me.

No, most of the board would love this draft. We just know the Cowboys are more likely to bring in offensive players with the top 3 selections then defense.

I don't see Davis dropping that far, but even if he did we aren't exactly known as a team who drafts big space eaters on defense. We seem to prefer quicker, attacking type defensive lineman.

Dean is crazy value in round 2.

Williams has some red flags, but again would be good value in 3rd.

All that said, my gut tells me Dallas most likely goes WR/TE, oline and edge rusher somewhere between rounds 1 and 4.

If we drafted Jordan Davis we wouldn't be able to get LB Dean. As our 2nd round pick would be gone. But check out the laundry list of injuries Dean has. I'm out on him.

IMO Jordan Davis is too fat. Too big. It will take a lot for him to keep in shape and under 340. My guess is he's the type of player that plays hard for a 2nd contract and balloons after the massive guaranteed money. I don't mind if we draft him, but the Cowboys need to part ways after 3-4 years.

Wyatt domestic violence
Dean is really beat up with a laundry list of injuries makes you wonder how he would hold up in the NFL
I would prefer Brisker to Hill
Davis would be great but it would be expensive to move up for him.

I think day one and two will be OL, WR, Edge/TE

Unless Davis or Thibodeaux fall closer to our pick - I expect it to be offensive first 2 rounds at the least. If Williams is there in the 3rd, he'll be the pick. If not, then I'd expect another offensive player. Really think there are going to repeat last years draft and go majority one side of the ball....unless someone high on their board is sitting there.

Jordan Davis blew up the combine, but his production on the field is more like a third round pick.

He's a NT and anyone that watched a Georgia game last year knew how much attention he commanded to let the rest of the front seven run free. The fact that he was getting Heisman consideration showed that people knew how dominating he was despite splash stats.

He'll be a Pro Bowler and if he's there at #24, you run to the podium.
