Would this help?...

Last year when Sean Lee went down for th season, Bruce carter stepped into his position and really dominated if you recall. Would it benefit the team to have them switch positions now? I think Lee would handle TE's way better. Thoughts?

I think Bruce Carter has played well this year other than a bad matchup and then a bad game last week. Until it's a trend, we should stick with the status quo.

The zone scheme is huring both Carter and Claiborne. They aren't comfortable on where to be when.

I'm holding out hope that there is a learning curve and both will improve as the season progress

I've wondered the same thing as well, OP.

I think, of all the suggestions of swapping players around, this one makes the most sense/is the most feasible.

Lee has a little bit better play recognition which negates any disadvantage he has athletically when compared to Carter (for the most part).

But honestly, Carter's only had the one bad game, so there's probably no need to try it now. TBH, he wasn't the problem on the first TD. That was outstanding coverage for a LBer on a guy like Woodhead. SD's coaching and execution there just won out.
