Would you add Dez to the Roster?

Sure I would. I just hope he lands somewhere and is able to finish his career on his terms. Great guy who has been disrespected by Cowboy fans for no reason.

For no reason? You're OK w/ a WR jogging routes and refusing to do his rehab?

Dez took a flamethrower to the locker room on his way out and some of those guys are still there.

He's not worth "kicking the tires" with that drama and him doing nothing (except get injured) since the Cowboys released him.

See what he's got in training camp and pre-season and go from there.

I never understood the Dez hate.

Dallas ranked 16th in Red Zone offense last year. (TD's only)
Good for 57.41% just barely ahead of the Giants.
We were only 50.00% on the road

Dez's last two seasons:
2016 we ranked 5TH!
2017 we ranked 7TH!

Pretty obvious this guy helps our red-zone situation.

Not to mention, in 2019 we ranked 2nd in the NFL in Passing offense,
because of 4,751 yards in the air. We moved the ball down the field pretty well and
then stalled in the red-zone.

2019 -- Tampa Bay was #1 in Passing offense and #3 in red-zone TD percentage.
That makes sense, our numbers do not make sense and are not proportionate.

We need Red-Zone help.

Dez Bryant 73 TD's in 7 years.
Bob Hayes 71 TD's in 9 years
Michael Irvin 65 TD's in 11 years
Jason Witten 72 TD's in 16 years

Look, Dez told Jerry he wouldn't try to work a contract with him, he would only let his representation. Jerry did and that went till he didn't live up to his pay.
I see the same thing happening with Dak. Representation only, and Jerry gets fed up with the representation.

I don't expect Dez back because of it -- he burned bridges. I am doubtful right now that Dak sees another contract regardless of the amounts on this one because of it. I don't expect Zeke to have another contract either.

Players who use their representation to get the contract in place and then let Jerry feel like he won even after overpaying have long lives in Dallas. Players who won't work with Jerry and have to win on all accounts like most lawyers want to -- seldom last through to many contracts with him.

Sean Lee, Tyron Crawford, etc who are very flexible can have many contracts with Jerry and he will overpay for their production.

Others who "want every last penny" and stick to their people --- done.

I agree with you but Dez's Representation has lost all of its leverage. He probably won't play in the nfl if he doesn't get it done with Dallas. This is it for him. His agent should know that. We will get Dez for cheap.

Dez is underappreciated by some...but he's also done.
And although I'd like to see him retire as a Cowboy, it's probably not worth the potential trouble.
Fwiw, Romo uniquely understood Dez and his great physical skills but limited route tree.
I've always felt he maximized Dez' value, but Dez saved his tail any times too.
Just wish he would've simply completed the catch vs GB instead of going for the score all in one move. But he was a competitor like that.
But that was long ago.

Dez isn’t playing anything but Madden this year.
