Would you be for live mic on-field broadcasts?

When I played it was like a car crash every 45 seconds. I miss the authentic sounds of the game, pads and helmets hitting, trash talk and celebration.

Sure there maybe some off colored language captured, but the live mics could be on an alternate audio channel instead of the main broadcast.

they should have one for the sidelines. I work for a network and get to watch football games from the truck feed and it is very interesting to see and hear what goes on the sidelines...especially last year with Wade and some players.

not really a whole lot...alot of bickering among coaches and confusion during some games. I would post about it during the games in game threads...most of the stuff came during breaks and it was always interesting to hear Joe Buck and Aikman talk among themselves during the commercial breaks...Aikman was not a big fan of how the cowboys were run last year coaching-wise.

I also saw the that in the game at philly last year about 15 minutes before air, the eagles sideline was jacked up and hungry for blood...and the cowboys sideline had wade looking lost and Romo searching for his hat for 10 mins...no focus or intensity on the cowboys side of the field and the resulting game was not a surprise.

The NFL will never do it and for a lot of the reasons Calico mentioned. They don't want the behind the scenes stuff getting out, not to mention the bad language.

It would be one long bleep

Just put it on Cable so we can hear some of that stuff.

I'd be all for it.

I think it'd be pretty cool, especially on replays. Better yet, give a few key position players helmet cams so fans can see plays develop and catch the speed of the game. That would be something to see on Jerrytron.

I would be for it..

Me, and some friends were discussing this a while back about the NHL... It would be cool if there was a broadcast that would allow you to hear whats going on, on the ice.. Sure, there would be a lot of cussing, trash talk, etc., but would be interesting to see how the players communicate with each other on the ice, how the coaches communicate with players, and each other on the bench, etc...

We figured they could maybe offer a pay per view type deal for that type of broadcast, for people that didn't have kids (or do), and want to hear the REAL sounds of the game. I'm sure the same could be applied to the NFL, or any other sport.

I'm sure it will never happen though for a variety of reasons..
